"Avoid this business.They charged me an initial $121 fee to diagnose a known problem that was obvious to blind Freddy. Stuck brew unit that occurred due to brew unit disfunction (o rings) -I said please complete the coffee cycle, remove it and order a replacement brew unit from Delonghi ($41) As stated on original receipt. Told fee of $121 included some labor and basic parts. Pauline said she would call when the "Technician" had looked at it and give quote.I said just remove it and order new one. 10 year old Coffee machine, well maintained, knowledgable owner, nothing else required. Self diagnosis on machine informed all OK prior to brew unit giving up the ghost. Was initially Ok with the $121 charge to remove it and $41 for new brew unit as still making reliably great coffee. Did not receive promised call, rang and was informed they'd already rebuilt the brew unit? Its Illegal to use refurbished parts without prior written consent, no authority to carry out repairs, charged another $275 labor cost to rebuild a $41 brew unit and test a self diagnosing appliance that was working perfectly apart from the brew unit. Bill for a further $377.21 which included charge for $47.92 parts and $20 freight, no explanation as to parts as the specified NEW brew unit not supplied or even ordered till I demanded to know why not after paying the bill. What did the initial cost cover again? Added Freight for supplies any 3rd rate repairer buys in bulk wholesale and has on hand which is supposedly covered in initial cost.? (lubricant and x2 O rings presumably all that was required to "refurbish") machine consistent with beautiful pucks, hot milk and superior creme as always.Confirmed in their own words on receipt.They condescendingly assume telling you what you already know about the self diagnosing function you frequently use yourself on your own appliance is service and billable hours by "technicians" I didn't agree to pay them to tell me how many coffee's its made. I already know how to press 2 buttons and access that information. You are then told you signed our terms and conditions ( Which cannot override Consumer rights no matter what they tell you) and if you don't pay the bill you will be charged another $55 under the unclaimed goods act for disposal (they resell your appliance as "refurbished") and presumably the debt collector will be in touch anyway. Receipt states I have no warranty for repairs as they refurbished the brew unit and the receipt says it requires replacement.(Accrued multiple hours of labor without permission to do so and won't guarantee their "technicians" work) and I was not told this prior to paying, so cannot use appliance until I order a brew unit, what did they do/provide for the $498.21 charged? Newer fully refurbished with all new parts and warranty Delonghi machines are available for $450 on Ebay. Only authorised repairer in Canberra, I rang Delonghi and complained, Also have provided full details and all evidence to Fair Trading. They will take the $121 initially, and behind the scenes extort as much money as they think they can, bill you for unauthorised and imaginary unneeded "repairs" and not even provide a warranty period. A "technician" is NOT a qualified tradesperson such as an electritian -yet Prestige electrical charge like they are. A certificate means what? Pauline is as Slick as a buttered dolphin right up until the final bill vague on detail is sprung on you and she delivers the coup de grâce, previous reviews say basically the same thing. Drive your appliance to Sydney if you have to, or buy another one, it'll be cheaper and you probably will actually be able to make coffee when you get home. IMHO - just avoid Delonghi as a brand if this is the standard of business model they endorse."

"After my young son threw the remote at the TV and smashed the glass and damaged the QLED display, I thought all was lost! But I had previously had a coffee machine repaired by Prestige Electronics and it was a positive experience. I decided to reach out to them and see what they could do. They made an assessment and walked me through the process clearly. I was very impressed with service and clear communications along the way. I was super happy to get my TV back repaired and like brand new. I'm also glad that due to that mistake by my son, a whole TV didn't end up in land fill. A valuable lesson for him, but also a story about fixing what you have, don't throw it away. Thanks for everything you do Prestige Electronics. Special thanks to Pauline."

"I sent Prestige Electronics a big thank you for the outstanding repair they made to my 25 year old Samsung VCR. It quite literally works better than it did when I bought it new in the late 1990s, as it had always had slightly unreliable tracking and uncertain sound reproduction. I now have a sharp picture, no tracking issues and clear sound using, in some cases, 40 year old video cassettes. The repair person obviously took extraordinary care in reconditioning the unit. Needless to say, Prestige Electronics can expect me to be a return customer."
