Every aspect of our centre has been carefully planned to harness the self-motivation and unique learning abilities of all children. We provide them with the freedom to follow their natural tendencies towards independence, exploration, co-operation, order, repetition, imagination, and communication.

To ensure the utmost comfort and safety for our students, all our learning environments are equipped with underfloor heating, air purifiers, and air conditioning systems.

Developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, this approach recognizes that every child possesses an intrinsic drive to explore, discover, and learn. The journey of Eucalyptus Montessori began in 2017 after a meticulous planning and design process. Our founders, Storm and Crystal, worked closely with architect Bruce Fisher to conceptualize indoor and outdoor environments that inspire learning and exploration with their light, airy, and beautiful spaces.

Crystal's interest in Early Childhood Education and the Montessori philosophy grew during her studies in the UK. After completing her Master's degree in Psychology, she returned to China and began working in early childhood education, seeking training in Montessori. Crystal's passion for Montessori inspired Storm to also become interested in the approach. Both Storm and Crystal completed their Diploma of Montessori Education for the 0-3 age group, under the guidance of trainer Maria Teresa Vidales (Cha Cha). Cha Cha, a renowned Montessori trainer, sits on the AMI board and has been instrumental in their Montessori journey.

Their dream of starting a Montessori Early Childhood centre brought Storm and Crystal to Australia in 2013. They explored existing sites and centers that could be adapted to their vision. It was through a mutual friend that they met Christine Harrison, a prominent figure in the Canberra Montessori community and the then-president of Montessori Australia Foundation. Christine introduced them to Bruce Fisher, and together they began conceptualizing a custom-built center. After considering several sites in Canberra, they chose the Summerland Circuit block as the ideal location.

Construction of Eucalyptus Montessori commenced in 2016, facing a few delays before finally completing in mid-2017. In September 2017, Eucalyptus Montessori opened its doors, marking the realization of Storm and Crystal's long-held dream.
