"If you wanna dine in here, remember to make a reservation before you go. We picked up this restaurant randomly just because we wanna have a nice dinner and enjoy our time in Canberra. They told us that we have to wait until 8pm or we can choose to sit in the bar area. Most of the staffs were nice and food was great and not expensive. The only problem for me was when I asked for ketchup and the Indian lady never bring it to me. She was a bit rude when I’m asking for it, so it’s not a surprise that I didn’t get my ketchup before I leave. Btw, I love their truffles source for steak, highly recommended."
"Sorry but it’s a waist of money. We visit the restaurant a few weeks ago and it was the first and the last time. We had to celebrate our anniversary and really where looking forward to a nice steak. So we ordered the Steak tasting board for 129.- and our waitress asked how we would like to have our steaks, so we replied with medium rare. The steak arrived and unfortunately it was more on the medium well side. We informed the waitress about the quality of the steak and she left to tell the chef. She never came back. The lucky part for the restaurant was that it was late and we where really hungry. So we eat the overcooked steak. After we finished the waitress came back and we ask what the response of the chef was. The response was it is medium rare! After we paid at the front of the house we explained the quality of the cooking and the response as well. My little suggestion from chef to chef, you’re not perfect neither am I, and that is okay but take responsibility for your food. At the end of the day, the customer is paying your salary."
"Nice selection of food choices. The beef cheeks were to die for as was the brussel sprouts baked and smothered in a cheese sauce. Selection of cocktails was good with a very attentive staff. This was a Monday night yet it was quite busy"
"Cannot fault the steak, sauces & sides. The food was perfect, some of the best steak you will have, the sauces and sides match the high quality too. If you want steak, have it here. The steak tasting plate is near perfect, 3 types of steak cooked perfectly, chips & sauce. But that's the problem, just one sauce on a tasting plate?! I highly recommend you order more (should be included). The blue cheese sauce was beautiful. The service was a little bit, awkward at times, asking if we were done with food still in mouth, staff on auto pilot without much personality That is my other issue, the atmosphere was a little bit dry here, I appreciate it's a higher end restaurant but it felt like being in a museum"
"I really like this restaurant. We could not find a table on the restaurant side, fully booked till 8:30pm so we sat on the café side. The food is still very nice. We tried the duck pate, beef capaccio, steak, beef cheek and murray cod. All top notch and tasty. Will come back again next time I am in Canberra"
