"Stepping into Lilotang, you're greeted with modern decor and an ambiance that strikes the right balance between lively and intimate. The music plays at just the right volume, allowing for personal conversation while muting the chatter of neighboring tables. A highlight of the setting is the digital specials board, projected on the wall with animated art, adding a unique and contemporary touch. The Tasting menu at Lilotang offered an intriguing journey of flavors. Starting with Oyster in yuzu sorbet and spicy ponzu, the meal was off to a promising start. The salmon and miso eggplant were particular standouts, each bursting with flavor. The slow-cooked pork with miso butter and crispy Brussels sprouts were satisfying, though the chicken thigh skewers left a bit to be desired. The dessert, while tasty, proved a bit challenging to share among the party. The drink selection was pleasant, with a soft and nice rosé and tasty mocktails, even if they were not explicitly paired with the meals. Service at Lilotang was adequate but faced some inconsistencies. An allergy concern within our party was initially dismissed, despite prior notification, but eventually handled with persistence. This hiccup did slightly mar the experience. The pricing for the Tasting menu seemed fair for the diverse and interesting flavors offered. The restaurant's overall cleanliness and sensory ambiance contributed positively to the evening. In summary, Lilotang offers an above-average dining experience with some highlights and minor shortcomings, resulting in a rating of 6 to 7 out of 10. I'd recommend a visit if you're in the mood for an explorative culinary experience, but there's no rush to make it a regular spot. The charm and flavors are there, but a few refinements could elevate the overall dining pleasure."
"The service was fantastic, super nice and welcoming. The server explained drink options that best fit what we were eating. We got the chefs best option it was $90 but it was definitely worth it. We loved the food and we were so full when we left. Definitely recommend going if you want Asian fusion food and good drinks. Our total was $244 we got the Chefs Best, 180ml Sake, mocktail and a cocktail from their specials. All of them were delicious!"
"Lovely experience, great service. We had the feed me menu for $80. It was worth having, although some of the flavours could be a little stronger and more bold. Also it would be good if there was a dessert offered in the feed me menu rather than as an extra"
"A very good quality dining experience at this elite venue. I would highly recommend trying some of their unique dishes here including the Moreton Bay Bug slider, Crispy marinated octopus, Slow cooked Angus short rib, Lilotang Salad, Japanese potato salad. I prefer that over the tasting menu as we get to choose what we like and get a larger serving. Regards @fooderarri"
