Our philosophy at Busy Bees focuses on the discovery and exploration of respectful relationships with children. We believe in uninterrupted playtime, offering plenty of freedom, a calm and relaxed environment, cooperative relationships, and our full attention. Both indoor and outdoor play are encouraged, allowing children to engage in experiences from both areas. We also offer a variety of programs and experiences, including yoga, music and movements, and sustainability.

Our funded Preschool program is led by two Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teachers who are committed to preparing your child for their next big steps in school. We work in partnership with you to ensure a successful transition to school. Our child-led curriculum is designed to build confident and active learners, using a holistic approach to education that combines school readiness with learning experiences that foster your child's social and emotional development.

At Busy Bees, we prioritize meaningful interactions daily. Our Service Manager's door is always open for families to sit down for a chat or meeting. Our Educators are always available to provide support, advice, or connect families with the right resources in the community. We take pride in working with a diverse range of Educators that reflect our local community and encourage families to share their beliefs and ideas. We speak multiple languages and focus on forming a circle of security with each child and family.

Hi, I'm Anantbir Kaur Sohi, the Service Manager of Busy Bees at Gilles Plains. I have been working at Gilles Plains for eight years, and being with children and contributing to their early intervention years has been my passion since day one. I joined Busy Bees in 2014 and have gained extensive experience working with children of different age groups. I have been in a leadership role within our Service for over six years and am proud to work alongside a strong leadership team.

I believe that any work you do should be done passionately and smartly. Reflecting on your practices at the end of each day is essential to make improvements and strive for excellence.

I feel successful every day when I see the children happy, engaging with each other, and going home safely. The health and well-being of our children, educators, and families are of utmost importance to me. I believe in building strong connections within our Hive and our community to ensure the best outcome for the children. Each child is unique and has the right to learn and develop their skills. As educators, we are here to foster their strengths and celebrate their differences.
