Welcome to Mekko Market & Cafe, located at Prospect Road, 89, in the heart of Prospect, SA. We are a unique establishment that combines a cafe, a restaurant, and a store, specializing in sustainable fashion. As Australia's first rent a rack market, we provide a space for individuals to set up their own mini shops and rent racks to sell their high-quality preloved clothes.

Since opening in May 2018, we have been at the forefront of the sustainable fashion movement in Australia. Recognizing a need for good quality, eco-friendly fashion options, we established Mekko Market & Cafe. In 2021, we expanded and opened our second market, Monday Market Norwood.

At Mekko, we offer weekly rentals for racks, allowing you to keep 100% of your profits. Our online app makes it easy to track your sales, and as you sell more, you can refill your rack with new items. It's a fantastic opportunity for fashion enthusiasts and sellers alike.

In addition to our market, we also have a fully licensed restaurant where you can indulge in our modern Australian cuisine with a touch of Scandinavian influence. Our meals are made from scratch using local produce, and our generous portions ensure that no one leaves hungry. We Scandinavians believe in satisfying meals!

As you enter Mekko, you'll be greeted by a vibrant atmosphere with green plants, smiling faces, and colorful walls. Our building, a heritage-listed art deco structure, has a rich history as a former police station and courthouse. Take a peek at the old jail cells located at the back of the building, as they are open for exploration.

With new stock arriving daily, our stall holders ensure a constant rotation of fresh and exciting items.

Please note that stall holder set-ups are available from 9.30 am onwards, and pick-ups can be made until 3 pm. However, on public holidays, these times may differ.
