About the Business
Welcome to Perfect Pelvic Floor, located at 10 Albert Avenue in Broadbeach, Australia. As a leading establishment in health and physiotherapy, we are dedicated to helping you achieve a strong and healthy pelvic floor.
At Perfect Pelvic Floor, we understand the importance of maintaining a strong pelvic floor, especially during pregnancy and after childbirth. Our programs are designed to prepare you for labor during your second and third trimester, making it easier and shorter, and aiding in faster recovery. Whether you gave birth last week or several years ago, we have the solution for you. Our beginners program is specifically tailored for the early postpartum phase up to six months to address leakage and rebuild your core. Our intermediate program is designed for those six months to five years postpartum, providing motivation and accountability with three exercises per day.
Even if you haven't had children or had them many years ago, we have the solution to stop your leakage. Our programs are designed to free you from constantly searching for a toilet and enable you to exercise without limitations. We want to help you achieve the freedom and confidence you've always desired by getting your pelvic floor muscles working for you.
For men who are experiencing leakage after prostate surgery or preparing for surgery, we have you covered as well. Our specially designed program for men will help you stop leakage and regain control of your life.
At Perfect Pelvic Floor, we have developed a unique three-step process to make it easy for you. Our programs aim to help you locate your pelvic floor, build strength and control, and progress to functional exercises where your pelvic floor actively supports you.
My name is Melanie, and I am a pelvic floor physiotherapist from Australia with over 12 years of experience in pelvic floor and pilates. I am passionate about helping individuals overcome their core and pelvic floor issues, and I am confident that I can assist you.
Your pelvic floor is a group of four muscles located deep within your pelvis. These muscles play a crucial role in closing off your urethra, vagina, and anus, providing control and support. They also help lift your pelvic organs and enhance sexual sensation. During labor, they relax and assist in reducing the duration and complications of childbirth.
Your pelvic floor muscles attach to your pubic bone at the front and your tail bone at the back, forming a sling or hammock between your legs. When these muscles contract, they give a sensation of closing and lifting around the opening of your vagina.
You may have heard of Kegel exercises, which are essentially the same as pelvic floor exercises. The term "Kegel" was coined by Dr. Arnold Kegel, an American gynecologist, in the 1940s. He used this term to describe and research non-surgical approaches to pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence. In Australia, we commonly use the term pelvic floor muscles and pelvic floor exercises.
Pelvic floor exercises are crucial for women, as they help maintain the strength and functionality of these important muscles. They play a significant role in supporting pelvic organs and preventing issues such as prolapse and leakage. By incorporating simple pelvic floor exercises into your daily routine, you can live a happy and confident life.
At Perfect Pelvic Floor, we are committed to helping you achieve a strong and healthy pelvic floor. Whether you are preparing for labor, recovering from childbirth, or experiencing issues after prostate surgery, our programs are designed to meet your specific needs. Take control of your pelvic floor health and start living the life you've always wanted.
