Reviews of Abbots and Kinney
"Heard of this place for some time and finally checked out this cozy cafe nestled in a city fringe suburb. Not very busy with dine-in customers but cars lined up the little street next to it, probably for takeaway’s. Its interior is warm, welcoming, and cozy. Unfortunately there were a couple of flies visiting too. Food was of the quality fitting for its reputation. Coffee was nice and hot, great for a cool autumn morning. Overall, a warm and welcoming cafe with a good range of both sweet and savoury pastries worth frequenting."
"Enjoyed a lovely long weekend autumn brunch outing with hubby & our lab. Our Millennial cappuccinos and crunchy toasties were wonderful :) btw the service was also wonderful"
"There aren’t enough words in vocabulary to express my disappointment about how bad the almond croissant was. Coffee:4/5 Customer service:5/5 Almond croissant:0/5 Croissant was soggy and there wasn’t any almond cream in it , just a hint of custard which was sad. If i need custard pastry i would order a danish not a croissant."
"Came here for a quick breakfast with my friend before driving to the Monarto safari park and it was pretty empty on a Saturday morning, compared to other cafes right next to it which were all a lot more crowded. My friend highly recommended this place for it's good quality pastries so I had high hopes. It was safe to say that I wasn't disappointed! I ordered the chocolate and hazelnut croissant and it was flaky, even though the lamination didn't look extremely well-made. They were very generous with the chocolate ganache filling as 80% was filled with it which made it somewhat too much for my personal preference. It wasn't too sweet so I was still able to go through 90% of the pastry. My friend ordered the almond croissant and I was surprised to taste that the almond paste in the middle wasn't the marzipan I hate. Instead, it tasted a lot more like custard with just a hint of almond, so I actually preferred this version of an almond croissant but appreciate it may not be what others expect. I ordered a flat white on the side which was already, not particularly outstanding. Service was good overall, waiter was friendly. It's a bakery that I would be happy to come back to."
"On the corner of Robert Street this little Cafe is full of surprises. Gorgeous pastries and cakes The best half strength latte I've had in some time. These Cafes can get packed so be early. Parking can be a little difficult Cafes are not wheelchair friendly."
