About the Business
Welcome to Asian Central Gawler, a beloved establishment located at Julian Terrace, Gawler in Australia. As a family-run business, we have been serving up fresh and delicious Asian cuisine since 2010.
Our owner and head chef, Hung, has a remarkable story that begins with his arrival in Australia from Vietnam in 1985. With a deep passion for cooking, Hung pursued his dream and became a professional chef in 1999. By 2002, he had risen to the position of head chef on Rundle Street in Adelaide.
In August 2010, Hung fulfilled his lifelong dream of opening his own restaurant, Asian Central. Our aim has always been to celebrate local produce and deliver authentic and fresh flavors to our valued customers. In March 2017, we debuted our new restaurant in Gawler, expanding our reach and allowing more people to experience our culinary delights.
With 16 years of experience and the support of his lovely wife, Ha, and their daughter, Maria, Hung and his family are dedicated to sharing their passion for food and providing a warm and welcoming experience to everyone who walks through our doors.
We understand that times can be tough, and the cost of living continues to rise. That's why we want to help as much as we can. We have decided to lock our prices on our food menu for the remainder of the year. The current prices since 2022 will remain in place until 2024. We hope that this gesture eases any financial burdens on families because we believe that everyone deserves an affordable and delicious meal.

"Excellent food, good prices. Great friendly staff. Fast service. Can be noisy on busy nights"
"We decided in the afternoon to see if we could get in for tea and were lucky to get a table for our party of 5. The restaurant was so busy!!! Many choices and combinations to have. We started with prawn toast, spring rolls, and chicken and corn soup. All delicious and fresh. Mains I had the cashew nut chicken, a massive serve with loads of fresh veggies. We added fried rice as a side and were able to take the leftovers home. Finished the evening with fried ice cream, which was hot and creamy with a very slight lemon flavour in the Batter. Dinner was so good, we had take away the following week, that was equally as fresh and delicious, packed well and was ready quickly. The staff on both occasions were friendly, helpful, and attentive."
"When food and service are good. The atmosphere is ok as well. I love the way you cook and the way you serve customers. Your dishes are very tasty, not to much oil, not to much salty inside. The food is so fresh. Femail waitresses are so friendly."
"Spur of the moment booking and lucky we did book as they were full and wow the food the staff the whole experience was great. I will be back for sure and will be recommending to everyone"
"Service was impressive even when they are busy. Asked for suggestions and tried 3 of the suggested dishes, sweet and sour pork (photo 1), Mongolian beef (no photo) and hokkien noddle (photo 3). Photo 2, salt and pepper crocodile and we were pleasantly surprised with great crunch, nicely season with the right amount of aromatics and heat. My son was asking when are we coming back next!"
