In addition to our museum, we are proud to introduce History in a Box, a new local history resource provided by the City of Playford Library Service. Designed for primary and secondary schools, this program promotes student-centered learning and the use of primary resource material. Each box contains a selection of resources, including photographs, documents, oral histories, DVDs, and objects. These boxes are free to borrow for two-week loans and can be adapted to cover various subjects such as history, social studies, visual arts, politics, and cultural and gender studies. We also provide a range of local history books and resources to further enhance your historical investigation.
Furthermore, the City of Playford offers an opportunity to trace your family history. With over 5,000 microfiche, 1,000 books and magazines, maps, genealogical data files, and scanning facilities, our Library branches provide a comprehensive research aid.
