"Sickle Park on Hope Island was completed late 2021, although there is some completion required. Set on The Grand Canal it is an ideal spot to picnic, exercise, fish, tennis etc. There are exercise machines, kids playground, Hope Island Tennis Club, toilet facilities, nice walking paths, spots to fish. There are two BBQ facilities but unfortunately they are not operative, which is a pity. They look top units! A number of nice covered picnic tables with seating overlooking the water are inviting, especially when the new BBQs are operating. Quite a number of parking slots are available, including for wheelchair. All up, a very nice parkland area for Hope Island"

"It's a slow build to get this playground and park finished, but it's improving. There are still parts not accessible or still under construction. They have added shade and there are toilets towards the tennis club. The climbing frame would suit 4+. The slide is metal and most of the ground is sand. BBQ area is not yet finished."
