"Waiter was rude to my friend when he didn’t order any food, the food the rest of us order took ages to arrive, was overcooked, lacked taste and most of the food was cold when it eventually arrived. Never did the staff apologize for the long waiting time or even ask how we enjoyed the food, probably because they new how bad and overpriced it was. The drinks were also very average but at least the atmosphere was nice."

"Rarely, if ever, do I post a negative review but in this instance I have to. My wife and really liked Fu Manchu Oriental but last night's experience, the service and especially the timing (!) left a huge dent with us and it will take a long time for us to return. What happened? Well, the food was superb but it took 2 1/2 hours to receive all of our meal and when we received our mains we asked for the dessert to arrive as soon as possible having experienced the waiting game already and for long enough. To add, for four people we paid $300 (... and no we did not eat over the top and consumed only one bottle of wine which cost $56 but payed a 10% weekend service surcharge). For context, we were the 2nd table of four to be seated upstairs and had to observe throughout the evening how everybody else who arrived after us got served before us. In the end, and after waiting another 10 minutes for dessert, we decided to let it go, pay, and leave. I believe the owner did not even understand why we were leaving early and did not even ask us why. When paying, I expressed to the lady who charged us, that the timing was the worst we have ever experienced. She shrugged her shoulders at my wife and handed us the bill. A very sad experience, especially since we were such strong advocates praising Fu Manchu as one of the best restaurants on the Gold Coast. We had taken our parents to show them what we had been raving about, but has left us so disappointed and unfortunately we can no longer attribute such praise to this restaurant."

"Cannot flaw one thing! We had the lychee Martini, amazing! We had the bulgogi beef bao buns and lobster bao buns, absolutely out of this world! Then the prawn dumpings yum! Nasi goreng yum! and the loaded wagu beef dumpling were the best by far! YUM YUM YUM"
