"I wish I could give no stars BEWARE this was one of the worst experiences of my life! Hired Steve for my wedding he didn’t know my isle song never played requested songs as claims never got my email when I had texted him to ask if he did and said yes, also tried to blame me for all his stuff ups. Guest were treated terrible and wouldn’t play requested songs. He had also tried to call me on Christmas Day a month after the wedding. Safe to say I didn’t answer. Do yourself a favor don’t book this guy!!!"

"Worst DJ ever! I was at an event this Saturday and the DJ Chris from downsouthdjs was terrible (if you want to even call him a DJ) the music was terrible he barely played the genre that was requested by the hosts, hosts were happy for guest to request songs, when the guests requested a good classic song that everyone would like to get the party going because the DJ wasn't getting it happening, they were rudely told by the DJ "let me do my job" well your job is to make this a good vibe and to get the party going, you're being paid to play the music we all want to hear.. and he was doing the opposite. The requests were ignored. He continued to play whatever music he wanted (nothing at all like what was requested) even though he was kindly asked if he could change it. Everyone was off the dance floor because the music was so poor. We were all ready to have a good time and get up and dance just the music was bringing down the mood! The attitude from the DJ was appalling, I've never met anyone like him. I was nothing but polite and he was so rude. I had an empty glass in my hand not even a single drop of water in it only a slice of lemon and i told him it was empty to which he replied with " its the citric acid, it isn't good for the equipment" lol what!? I wasn't even near the equipment. He also started packing up almost 2 hours early. Definitely would not recommend."

"We booked Down South DJ’s (Steve) for our wedding reception. Steve was very professional and did a fantastic job. He was friendly and helpful. We worked with him to create playlists for the night which turned out great. He ensured he always had people up dancing and achieved it easily with the quality selection of music. We also had Steve as our MC for the evening. Again, a great professional job. All our guests enjoyed themselves and commented on the great selection of music that was played - there was something for everyone. I would highly recommend Steve from Down South DJs for anyone looking for a DJ and MC for their wedding reception / party / function."
