"My visit to medibank was good until yesterday 29/7/2021 which was not less than a nightmare. I went there to claim for my wife’s pregnancy outpatient expenses. The lady named Alexandra clearly didn’t know the difference between inpatient and outpatient services. I was constantly telling her my wife had advance health cover and was told by Medibank customer service that all outpatient costs will be covered as there is no waiting period for outpatient cost while getting the policy. But this lady said she does not care what I was told by other Medibank staffs and constantly asking me to show the proof of 12 month waiting period which was not even necessary as waiting period does not apply to outpatient services. I had to spent there full 1 hour arguing and explaining and later manager came and she confirmed waiting period doesnot apply to outpatient services. But this lady was not even ready to accept her mistake and saying she was just taking second opinion from the manager and whatever she said was correct. I agree whatever she said was right regarding inpatient services but I was there to claim my outpatient cost and whatever she was saying does not apply to my situation which means she was misleading me and misrepresenting Medibank as at one point of time I literally thought of suing Medibank for refusing to process my claim as per agreement while getting policy."
