Welcome to Coomera Rivers State School, located at 81-87 Finnegan Way in Coomera, Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, we are proud to be a primary school that focuses on providing our students with a well-rounded education.
At Coomera Rivers, our main goal is to equip our students with the skills they need to become lifelong problem solvers, creative thinkers, and collaborative individuals. We believe in preparing our students for the globally interdependent world they will be a part of, while also promoting their overall health and happiness.
One of the ways we achieve this is through our emphasis on leadership. We provide formal leadership opportunities as well as practical experiences for our students to develop their leadership skills. This allows them to grow into confident and capable individuals.
In addition to leadership, Coomera Rivers offers a range of opportunities for our students to develop their sporting, cultural, artistic, and entrepreneurial talents. We believe in nurturing and celebrating the unique abilities of each student, allowing them to explore and excel in their areas of interest.
As an Apple Distinguished School, Coomera Rivers is proud to integrate technology into our learning environment. Every student brings their iPad to school each day, allowing them to leverage digital learning opportunities and enhance their education.
We are thrilled to welcome new enrolments from Prep to Year 6, and we ensure that parents of future Prep enrolments receive regular communications from the school. At Coomera Rivers, we strive to provide a safe, supportive, and digitally rich learning environment for your family.
Creativity is highly valued at our school, and we use a framework of Design - Create - Share to demonstrate learning that goes beyond mere content. Our extra-curricular activities offer cultural, musical, and sporting opportunities for our students to enjoy and develop their talents.
Furthermore, we place great importance on the emotional health and well-being of our students. Through mindfulness programs, we help them develop high levels of self-awareness, empathy, and resilience. Our students learn about themselves, their friends, and their community, while also acquiring important skills such as maintaining positive thinking, building friendships, and managing conflict.
At Coomera Rivers State School, we are committed to providing a holistic education that prepares our students for success in all aspects of life. Join us on this journey of learning, growth, and achievement.

"Terrible school. No help for kids who fall behind or have adhd/ autism/ odd. Just send kids home constantly with no support. No support from teachers, deputy or even principal. We were told to look for another school because our son was too difficult, moved to Gainsborough and both kids are thriving. Grades are up and everyone is much happier. Avoid coomera rivers if you can."
"School is great, would recommend going there as they have a lot of technology resources, opportunities for students to participate in early career demos such as STEM Olympiads, etc. The only thing that keeps me from 5 star is some of the teachers. Some of the teachers are pretty picky on some students and show a bit of unfairness of attitude such as how they treat the more outstanding kids nicely and there be opposite to those who aren't. I remember one of my friends who didn't believe in climate change and a teacher picked him out, thus creating anger to him and causing trouble which then leads him to being sent by out the classroom. This friend as well was also being teased about his belief and the teacher on duty didn't do anything in lunch breaks. One last thing is how the some teachers in the lower grade classroom yell at students instead of encouraging them to in progress through work. Overall, school is great in general."
"Coomera Rivers state school is amazing! I am a peeky mum, this is my son's third state school and it's the best! His teacher (Miss Bryant) sends class photos every Friday. I don't know how she manages to do it with all the hard work she does. The photos include lots of activities and learning progresses. All the staff are welcoming with great smiles everyday. All the children are happy and enthusiastic. The school is very tech savvy and with his Ipad, my son has already started creating a book with the great skills that he has learnt. He said going to school is like a holiday. The facilities are great. It has the feel of a private school. I am so happy with this school in every way."
"We moved my son to another school last year due to a lack of consistency, he had 3 teachers in 6 months (all on maternity leave) and developed behavioral issues which he never had due to him testing each teacher to see what boundaries they set that were different from the last. The other issue we faced was that my son was behind as he couldn't write and in 3 years at Coomera Rivers he never learnt how to as they use ipad for everything. In 6 months at a new State school he has developed a love of writing and now can manage many tasks, with or without the ipad. I also found a more caring attitude and participation from the teachers and admin at the new school, it is a joint effort rather than being told it is all up to the parents."
"Nurturing, encouraging, highly involved/interactive with students, parents & community, teaches good morals & expectations of students & uniform standards for future endeavours, actively prepares yr 6 students for high school, provides multiple clubs during & out of school time for students to participate in. Although my son has had is share of detentions & trips to the office I HIGHLY recommend CRSS. Vic, his team of staff & volunteers are amazing!"
