However, if you require general information on Courts or other dispute resolution services, legal aid availability, meeting legal costs, or if you simply want to discuss the appropriate service for your needs, we offer a free 15-minute consultation. This initial consultation can be followed by our fixed fee initial legal advice or fixed fee intake for mediation, although there is no obligation to proceed with these services.

The Family Court of Western Australia encourages negotiated settlements throughout legal proceedings, and our experienced negotiators are dedicated to representing you to achieve the best possible outcome. As a law firm committed to social justice, Chris Williams Lawyer and Mediator regularly accepts Legal Aid cases, particularly grants for Family Dispute Resolution conferences. Chris Williams himself has extensive experience as an Independent Children's Lawyer accredited by Legal Aid WA, which proves invaluable when dealing with children's issues, especially in high conflict situations.

To help you save on legal costs, our initial legal advice appointments and intake for family dispute resolution (mediation) have fixed fees. In some cases, you may also have the option to handle certain aspects of your family law matter yourself, further reducing costs. We can discuss this during your first meeting.
