"A Camtec employee came to my home to repair my Samsung dryer under warranty. He replaced a part however he advised the unit needed further repairs (despite the internals of the unit being compromised with melted plastic). In the course of repairs, he damaged my hall wall plaster and paintwork. After he left I found blood in the area he was working- on my counter top, tiles and floor. He had obviously cut himself at some point while repairing the unit. No mention was ever made to me of this and no effort was made to clean this up. I have 2 small children in my home and this caused me serious concern. In addition random screws were found on the floor near the dryer. The technician had said I could continue to use the unit but when I found random screw on the floor along with the knowledge the unit had melted plastic within, I did not feel safe to use the machine. We are now almost 4 months after this visit and still no contact from Camtec management (as promised) about this or reimbursement for the cost of cleaning/ repairing my home after the damage caused by Camtec. Samsung have since replaced the unit. Absolutely terrible service and questionable ethics when their representatives leaves a home they way they did with ours and the matter still unresolved."
"NEVER. BOOK. WITH. THEM. After waiting for a warranty repair of a fridge at at our home address which took 3+ weeks to attend, they failed to show up on multiple occasions. As you can imagine it was so disruptive (and expensive) not having a fridge in your house for THREE WEEKS. Originally Camtec said they would put the status as ‘urgent’ because it was not working at all and we didn’t have a back up fridge. For a few days we ordered takeaway for every.single.meal thinking it would only be a mater of days. 5 days went past, and we started to use a mini in-car fridge just to keep some essentials cold. After three long weeks we were forced to buy a brand new fridge (NOT SAMSUNG) as we have no luck securing a Camtec technician. We couldn’t use another warranty agent, as the fridge was under 12 months old and had already failed twice previously. We tried to give the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe staff had Covid or maybe because the weather was so hot they were snowed under or because we lived a little outside the CBD, but clearly it is company policy to take unlimited service calls and have absolutely no intention of actually attending in a timely manner or having any sort of communication with the client. It is especially frustrating when a call is said to be booked in between 8am and 1pm on a particular date and you have another day off work to meet the technician and then no one shows up. No phone call. No apology. The obvious next step is to ask to speak with the manager but don’t bother as the typical response is that the manager is ‘on another call’ or ‘in a meeting’ and they will call you by 5pm. You are left wondering if you should hang around home in case they show up or head back to work to not completely waste another day. Of course, the ‘manager’ never phones back and if you call again to get an update or make a complaint, you are again told someone will call back by 5pm, which they don’t. Fast forward to 7 days ago when I placed a service call for a fridge not working at my business address, stupidly forgetting it was this same company which Samsung referred us to last time. My service call was taken and I was advised a charge would apply because the fridge was out of warranty and I agreed to the charge. The service coordinator advised me the technicians were fully booked for the week, but they could schedule it in for Monday for between 8am and 1pm. Seven days to wait for a technician to attend is kind of inconvenient to be without a working fridge but I agreed and the credit card details were taken to secure the booking. I advised Camtec that I will be away in QLD on the 6th Feb but I would get someone to meet the technician there. With my parents also away, my partner had one of his staff members go to the business address today to meet the technician. 5 hours had passed and 1pm came and went. Again…no technician. I phoned Camtec and they advised, no, in fact it was booked for NEXT Monday. The exact same story that was told to us when they kept no showing to our home address. So if it was in fact booked for the 14th Feb, when I booked it they should have said we are fully booked for TWO WEEKS? They had no answer except to say that it was booked for the 14th and when I asked to listen to the recording to verify they hung up on me! As you can imagine my blood was boiling as it was a huge favour asking someone to wait around (in paid time) for this technician that never even arrived. My advice would be to not buy a Samsung fridge in the beginning as they are not reliable. Three Samsung fridges have now completely failed within 2 years. I would assume at least 5 years life span for a $2k-$3K purchase. Secondly, if Samsung want to put a warranty service call to Camtec, refuse so you can spare yourself this awful and very unprofessional experience. I am sure that there are much more reliable and lovely local service agents in Adelaide."
"Avoid this dodge place like the plague.I bought a dishwasher from good guys for rental property. After 14 months it stopped working.I lodged a request to fix it because It's still under warranty.I couldn't believe good guys used this company as their authorized repairer.According to the tenant, the person who inspected the machine stayed there less than 10mins,didn't check the machine carefully ,he just have a look and said the machine was not installed properly,a hose was kinked,no manufacture issues been found. And of course I have to pay $160 out of my own pocket for this.I doubt it if this was the problem why has it been working for 14 months? So I spent another dollars to find out what the problem is,I was told by another professional contractor that there was a bone been found and one part was cracked, now the machine can be still used for a while but not that last long if we don't replace the cracked part. I will never ever use this horrible company."
"I recently had a LG TV fault that required fixing under warranty. The two technicians who attended today were prompt, called when they were 10 minutes away, then did the job in an efficient manner. Very happy with the service."
"I never usually leave negative reviews - but the customer service and communication was appalling. I had to chase them up for three days just to get a quote and then they expected me to pay up front for a repair that they would not be completing for at least six weeks. Fortunately I've made the decision to go elsewhere for the repair, because based on the other reviews, I'm sure I would have been wasting my money."
