"While the artwork is great, trying to get in to actually speak to someone isn't. Apparently you can't meet the artist prior to the actual work, simply just supply your idea and then a booking date. It just seems very impersonal to me, I started getting work in 98 in the UK and have had work done all over the world. I've never been told I can't at least come in for 3-5 minutes to get a feel for the place and maybe have a chat. After a few more impersonal back and forths I simply decided against it, they don't seem to understand how personal a tattoo is."

"I was booked in to have a chest tattoo done by Sonja in December last year. I went to my consultation and paid $250 deposit and drawing fee. That first appointment was cancelled by the artist due to health reasons the day before app which I was understanding of. She rebooked me for a full day session for the 11th Dec at 10am. The day before my app the artist messaged me asking if we could push the app to 11am. I agreed. I arrived for my app and the artist had me fill out paperwork while she finished what she had forgotten to add to the artwork. Finally, after an hour and a half she began. After 4 and a half hours she said she was done for the day. I had communication with Sonja regarding colour a few days before my next full day appointment. During this communication, I asked Sonja "How many sessions will I need to be completed?" Sonja replied, perhaps 1.5 to 2 hrs depending on how you sit. She chatted a bit more about colour and I replied " Cool, I just wanna get it smashed out, I can sit like a rock" Six hours later, Sonja replied " I only do my normal amount of time sorry. Then at 1.30am I received a message from Sonja stating that I had caused her to stress and she hadn't been able to fall asleep and she was also recovering from something and would be cancelling. She suggested our rebooked app should be later in the day. After numerous messages and Sonja wanted to book me in for two more sessions ( even though she said 1.5 to 2 hrs to finish ) I was next booked in for 1st Feb at 10am. The night before this appointment Sonja messaged asking to push it to 10am. When I saw the message in the morning, I stated that 10am was the appointment time. She responded with "Can we make it 10.30am?" Then "I've lost my keys" and another message stating how long it would take her to get to the studio and set up. By this point I was DONE! I responded that I couldn't keep going like this with the chopping, changing and cancellations and what it was doing to my anxiety. I paid Sonja $1500 and received and outline. I asked for a refund of the 1.5hrs owed from a full day I had paid for. She then went on to message me that because of me she was now locked out of her house. She then went and made a FB post accusing me of taking her colour mockup to another artist. Seriously? I was willing and did pay you my hard-earned money and put my faith in you and your incredible talent. I was messed around from December last year until early February this year, giving you the benefit of the doubt with all your excuses. This experience has left me extremely disappointed and let down. Yes, I was refunded for the 1.5hr left from a 6hr appointment. But I am left with an unfinished tattoo and the task of finding a great artist willing to finish it."
