Before establishing her own practice in 2016, Catherine gained invaluable experience working in various settings. She spent five years as a Family Therapist on an adult inpatient psychiatric unit, followed by 15 years as a couple counsellor at Relationships Australia. During her time at Relationships Australia, Catherine also worked in their Specialist Sexual Concerns Unit, providing counselling for a wide range of sexual concerns, sexual trauma, sexual orientation, and gender issues.

Catherine's experience also includes working as a counsellor for Respond SA, The Service for Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse. She has been a Professional Sexual Therapist and Educator with the Australian Society of Sexual Educators, Researchers, and Trainers (ASSERT) since 1996, and she is currently a member of the Australian Society of Sexologists.

In addition to her work in mental health and sexuality, Catherine has provided fertility counselling services for five years at Repromed, a private fertility clinic. She understands the stress and challenges that come with infertility and fertility treatments, including donor programs. Catherine has also worked as a sexual counsellor for the Adelaide Hormone and Menopause Clinic.

Furthermore, Catherine has experience working with acute and chronic physical health problems in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, the Julia Farr Centre, The Multiple Sclerosis Society, and the Payneham Rehabilitation Centre.

Prior to establishing her own practice, Catherine delivered evidence-based counselling services in mental health as a member of a Medicare Local Mental Health Team for seven years. She then worked for ABC Psychology, further enhancing her expertise before starting her independent practice.
