"Lacked staff when assistance required and no social worker or other allocated for an acute patient and patient's immediate family. Very poor.. You CAN'T distinguish from staff, nurses or doctors due to staff all wearing SAME COLOURED SCRUBS.. Worked the system for year's & Sadly South Australia's health system has declined & gone backwards on a grandiose scale. For this day & age you'd think patient care would be up there pfft..!"
"If I could give a zero star review I would give a MINUS 5 but it won't let you. After being R.F.D transferred from a country hospital 500kms away from my home town on a Thursday afternoon a procedure to put a wire from my wrist to my heart was told great no heart attack, sorry you still can't swallow or eat but we are discharging you find your own way home. Third world hospitals at least make sure you can get home. Even my little country town hospital have more of a duty of care than the R.A.H NEW NICKNAME for it rejected Adelaide hell-hole."
"I am profoundly dismayed by the care I received at this hospital during a critical emergency. Despite the seemingly competent facilities, the professionals who attended to me displayed an alarming level of negligence. I arrived with a fractured hand that required surgery, yet instead of addressing the issue appropriately, I was inexplicably sent home after three reductions. This level of care is not only unprofessional but also borders on recklessness. To add to my frustration, I was not informed about the need for surgery or even provided with proper communication regarding the procedures performed. The severity of my injury demanded immediate attention, and I trusted the hospital to make informed medical decisions. Instead, I was subjected to a baffling lack of transparency and care. It’s essential to note that the hospital’s facilities may be equipped for emergencies, but the competence and diligence of the medical staff play a pivotal role. The disconnect between the facilities and the actions of the medical team is deeply concerning. I implore the hospital to treat this feedback as a wake-up call and reevaluate their protocols for handling critical situations. Patients facing traumatic injuries deserve swift, competent, and transparent care. My hope is that the hospital takes decisive measures to address these glaring issues and prevent similar instances of negligence from occurring in the future."
"I have to give my 5 stars review as a satisfied customer experience with the best quality service in Royal Adelaide Hospital. And rooms are very clean too"
"Since having the privilege to attend a tour before the hospital was officially opened to public, then having attended some conferences there for work, I’ve also experienced visiting patients, being an emergency patient then as an outpatient for appointments I have to have it is a lovely functional new hospital, much preferable to the old RAH building, airy and bright makes the sick feel better with greenery views definitely helps the mental state. Unfortunately as a patients point of view, there is definitely room for improvements. It’s corridors to find rooms for appointments are confusing and thank goodness for volunteers and helpful staff who can assist with directions. Understaffed in many areas leave the system vulnerable. Getting there- Public transport is a better option if well enough to get there by train as Car parking is horrible and expensive if you have no choice but to drive yourself there."
