Welcome to Modbury Community Children's Centre, located at 118A Smart Road in Modbury, Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for children of all abilities.

At Modbury Community Children's Centre, we believe in valuing each child as an individual and respecting their needs and rights. Our goal is to offer equal opportunities to all children, regardless of their circumstances and abilities. We are committed to equity and firmly believe in every child's capacity to succeed.

Our centre strives to create a happy and secure environment where children feel safe both physically and emotionally. We understand the importance of partnering with families and the wider community, and we aim to foster a collaborative relationship based on mutual respect and open communication. Through our Primary Care giving approach, we establish warm and secure relationships with the children and work in partnership with parents.

Quality care for young children is our priority, complementing the care provided within families and the community. Our educators continuously develop their professional knowledge and skills, working in partnership with children, families, communities, and other services and agencies. We are dedicated to finding equitable and effective ways to ensure that all children have opportunities to achieve learning outcomes. Our educators respect the skills, abilities, and knowledge of all children, and we ensure that all interactions, experiences, and materials support gender equity and non-bias principles.

With a strong focus on play-based learning, nature connections, diversity, and embedding the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspective into our daily practices, we strive to provide a well-rounded education for children.

Our centre offers different rooms for children of various age groups. Currently, our baby room has a waitlist, while our toddler room operates on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The kindy room is available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Please note that the centre will be closed for the Christmas and New Year period in 2023, from 6pm on Friday, December 22nd, and will reopen at 6.30am on Tuesday, January 9th, 2024.

We also have important upcoming events. Our Annual General Meeting will take place on Tuesday, August 15th, 2023. Additionally, we will be celebrating our 35th Birthday on Sunday, October 29th.

Please be aware that our centre is closed on public holidays and for two weeks over Christmas.
