The history of D'Tandoor dates back to 1984 when it was founded by Datuk Abdul Malik Abdullah in Malaysia. Originally specializing in North Indian cuisines, it later developed into a Malaysian delight. In 1990, we expanded our horizons and opened our first restaurant in Sydney, followed by a few more in Perth. D'Tandoor South Perth, our flagship restaurant, was opened in 2008 by the talented chef Arokiaraj Savarimuthu.

Chef Arokiaraj, who is now the franchisee and head chef of this branch, brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise. Trained in the renowned D'Tandoor Restaurant in Malaysia, he has honed his culinary skills to perfection. With a background in hotel management, Chef Arokiaraj ensures that every dish served at D'Tandoor meets the highest standards of quality and taste.

One of our specialties is the Chicken Mumtaz, a delectable dish that combines the flavors of tandoor-cooked chicken with a rich curry sauce.
