"Food and coffee was delicious. My friend had great things to say about the vegan burger. Great service, our server was lovely and the food came out quickly! Food pictured: The BCF & The Vegan Burger"
"Amazing cafe in the port. All the ingredients are locally sourced. The staff are incredibly friendly. If you want to go on a weekend, I recommend booking during the week. Or you can try your luck. We were lucky but it got very busy after we sat down. The food is amazing and fresh. Had the vegan cheese burger with fries. They smoke the vegan patties, and the potato buns just make it one of the best vegan burgers I have had at a not fully vegan establishment. Definitely recommend checking them out."
"It wasn’t a great breakfast. I ordered Bacon and Eggs Breakfast. There were slices of burnt bread and an over cooked poached eggs. Fresh orange juice consisted of half water and half ice (now I understand why people asking “no ice in the juice”). Extra money was requested for the tomato sauce that came with a tiniest plate on the earth. Coffee with burnt milk arrived. I will never come again."
"First time at Banksia. Quaint place. The menu looks good. Food was reasonably good. Staff were lovely and courteous. 2 star removed as it took almost 30 mins to get coffee and drinks from time of order even though it wasn't flat out and I felt the cost of XO crab dish was excessive for what one gets. Otherwise, it's worth at least a visit."
"Situated on historic St Vincent Street (cnr Robe Street) this Cafe sits comfortably. Relatively spacious and airy inside, this venue provides space for a large table group or a more intimate table for 2. Certainly in summer the footpath bench options may be viable, but the traffic flow here is usually quite steady. I personally liked their mantra of local, seasonal, sustainable and this is clearly supported on the menu. Poached eggs were spot on and the scrambled egg burger was very flavoursome. Coffee was good enough for a second helping with a moderately robust blend and relatively smooth finish (8/10). Staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. Definitely worth continuing patronage. *Addition to this review that was warranted by the outstanding service provided by *Tamara*; she was friendly, accommodating, helpful and hard working. The service that she provided was exemplary and I ensured the owner (working in the kitchen) was aware of the asset she represents to his business."
