Reviews of St George's Anglican Grammar School
"This schools kinda mid. only the teachers make it better they fees are too high (like some of the students). Best teachers are Mr Hanssen, Mr Lim, Mr Quan, Mr Wakefield. These teachers are legends and should manage this school because the management is unstable and terrible the math department is so unstable three years ago we had 8 math teachers in the space of a year this completely destroyed our education for that year. In conclusion solid school"
"Very good would sugest if you like a small school"
"As a former St. George's Anglican Grammar School who has graduated, I have enjoyed my time at the school, however as the year has ended, I felt as if the atmosphere and the environment has slowly deteriorated as the last members of the former school Murdoch College has graduated and left. I felt as if the staff I was brought up with were very accepting and are willing to take their time to improve the results of the students, however with current situations, this doesn't appear to be true. In the beginnings of St George's, the environment is small, however wholesome as we all were lost in the city. As a former Murdoch College student, it feels extremely new and confining, often feeling as if we're teenagers inside of an office building, however the spirit we had as a school still remains. St George's has been populated by transferring Murdoch College students with their strong bond between students as they are diving into a new location together as a giant group. As new students enrolled into the school, former Murdoch College students were always welcoming. However, as the remaining students of Murdoch College graduate and leave, the atmosphere of the school has slowly descended. The staff has been very supporting in the beginning, as many were also staff from Murdoch College. They were very understanding of the student's positions in education and are willing to lend a helping hand to those who are willing to improve themselves. On top of this, the staff were also very open with the students, often using casual language and interacting with students both during and outside of class time. However, with current circumstances (Which I will conceal as I feel it is private), it appears that this won't be the case. During my time in Murdoch College, I have experienced many events which has brought the school together and has made the school unique, for example "Get Your Geek On" day, which was a day we could dress up as video game characters, movie characters, etc.and multicultural day, where we dress up as a country and express our differences and acknowledge the different cultures. However, upon arriving to St. George's, a lot of these events were discarded and more traditional events were transferred over, such as sports carnivals and aquatics day. I feel as if this has affected the school, losing the uniqueness it once had which was different to other schools. Overall, my experiences as a former Murdoch College student was extremely amazing, however as time has went on, it seems as if the school has slowly lost the spirit it once had back at Murdoch College and it has now become an average school. Comparing my experiences to the school where majority of the students came from, it feels as if we have lost the initial connection we once had as a small community."
"Fantastic school! Excellent staff and fantastic communication. Parent teacher interviews and reports are available every term. SEQTA ensures that you are fully aware of your child's assessments and test scores. We can't thank the staff of St George's enough for a wonderful start to High School life !"
