As the summer temperatures soar, it is important to remember that pets can be greatly affected by the heat. Heat stroke in dogs is a serious concern and can even be life-threatening. If you notice any signs of distress or overheating in your furry companion, our veterinary professionals are here to provide immediate care and guidance.
With the arrival of spring, it is officially baby bird season. If you come across a baby bird on the ground, it is natural to want to help. However, it is important to seek advice from organizations such as Native Animal Rescue, who can provide valuable information on how to properly handle and care for these delicate creatures.
Spring also brings with it a rise in airborne allergens that can affect not only humans but also our furry friends. Many breeds of cats and dogs are susceptible to seasonal allergies, and it is essential to be aware of the signs and symptoms. Our team can provide guidance and treatment options to help alleviate your pet's discomfort.
Conveniently located at Unit 4, 39 Leake Street in Belmont, near the corner of Great Eastern Highway, Ascot Veterinary Hospital is here to provide exceptional veterinary care for your pets. "Ascot vet has been great! We just recently started coming to this vet. My boy recently went for surgery and they were amazing they comforted him and gave him the love he needed. Unfortunately we had an issue with his stitches (not the vets fault) and they got back to me and my concerns straight away and worked with me for a solution. Definitely recommend Ascot vet."
"We could not recommend Ascot Vet more! Dr Adam is by far the best vet we have ever seen. We were recommended to him with our very anxious boy and we have never looked back! He has helped us so much and is just so patient. Would highly recommend to anyone."
"I’ve taken my cat here for all her 15 years & counting, love talking to the ladies at the front desk blessed vet nurse angels (@ Amanda). All of the vets are well trained & kind. I’ve never felt uncomfortable asking a question or calling for help. Thanks for always making one slightly unhappy kitty a healthy and happy cat. Recommend going here if you are local or even if it’s slightly out your way for all of your pets needs."
"Travelling, we were lucky to stumble on this place as it was close to our accommodation and had good reviews here on google, they fit us in first thing the next day. We were lucky enough to get a consult with the lovely and very well educated Dr Charlie. A very warm person with compassion, a love for animals and backs it up with great knowledge. At the check up of my elderly cat, I didn't feel rushed, we were there close to an hr, she took her time to understand my concerns and give me as much understanding as possible from a vets point of view, the people in the know about animals, she's next level though. After some tests were run to cancel out my concerns I was informed over the phone of the results and given an explanation of those results and where the parameters sat compared to 'normal'. I was given some advice and some options to consider and didn't have anything pushed on me at all. I would not hesitate to bring any of my animals here and would trust them whole heartedly (we have 3 rescue dogs and 1 cat, I don't believe they currently consult on birds). The practice itself didn't feel horribly clinical as some vet practices do, it had a wonderful vibe and was filled with warm reception staff and people chatting (so rare these days) so everyone clearly felt relaxed and comfortable here. Thanks Ascot Vets!"
"Ascot vets are amazing. My dog, Rotti/English Mastiff Cross, is normally weary of strangers. He warmed up to the vet really quickly. The vets there always provide the least expensive solution first, preferring to treat his injury conservatively."
