"Very unhappy. I felt like I was analyzed for risk and how much money they could make from me, while at the same time pushing me to find someone else, instead of how they could help me. I had waited months for my booking and was then informed they had no idea when they could see me after the first booking. Was told multiple times I should get private health cover, how I would need many sessions and a team of specialists. Then how they don’t think they can help with me with the cause of either my depression or anxiety. They suggested I find someone else, but were also recommending I see both them and a community mental health centre, which I declined. No help or treatment options were even discussed in our session. I do not recommend Deverneuil Psychology. REPLY TO OWNER: Your staff's priorities were clear: Insurance, costs, someone else performing treatment. I went to Deverneuil Psychology to access your Psychologists, not a multidisciplinary team from another clinic. Again, Deverneuil Psychology offered no treatment options in the session as stated above. "We tend to rather have people wait then see us for one session and then have to wait months before accessing their second sessions." - A 3 month wait for my first session, then additional months wait before my second session? That is absurd. "In this instance however we did have a 2 week wait before your next appointment followed by weekly sessions." - That is a blatant lie, I brought up follow-up appointments during the first session and I called at 12:12PM after the session. Both times I was informed I had no next appointment. Your staff member and receptionist confirmed I did not have any follow-up appointments. "In regards to fees I understand for your own personal reasons you declined to be bulk billed." - This was because I did not know if the offer was fraudulent, it was not what was communicated by phone or email and I had lost all trust in the staff member making the offer. I requested the standard payment as had been communicated to me by phone and email in regards of cost and Medicare."

"Very disappointing. I was referred to this place in December last year by my doctor for 5 sessions through the Medicare scheme. I went to one session and then was unable to book any further sessions due to COVID19. After receiving numerous SMS updates from them regarding their practice and how they were now open for face to face consults, I called a week or two ago and made an appointment for Tue 13th. I've just now had a phone call asking me to fill in new patient intake forms, which I had already done in December last year. I was also then told that I needed to go to my GP to obtain another referral because the one I had was from December 2019. When I explained that my referral should be fine for up to a year in which I can have 5 sessions, I was told they wouldn't accept it and I would have to go to my GP and get a new referral. Have cancelled both my upcoming appointments and will seek counsel elsewhere. Very poorly handled administration, and very bad timing putting pressure on a client to try and get a new referral THE DAY BEFORE their appointment. Absolutely do not recommend this place as they don't seem to have their administrative work together."
