"This hairdresser is amazing. I always thought that hairdressers were all about the same. I only went to its because my usual hairdresser stopped perms. What a revelation. Ladies go on a Wednesday. I promise you will be amazed. Old blokes go in to get a free hair cut by a trainee, supervised wonderfully. The staff were so very good it's like going into a family. Promise you will love it, if you can get in. Will never go anywhere else. Pension discount is Monday to Friday."

"I got my hair done here a week ago and the more I've thought on it the more unhappy I've been. The haircut itself was fine and the service was friendly, however I feel I was overcharged. I booked a restyle and washed my hair that morning so I wouldn't have to get it done in the salon as I'm on a bit of a budget and really couldn't afford it. I did ask for a bit of a wispy fringe, however after talking to my hairdresser and getting the rest of my hair cut we decided going for a bit more of a curtain look was better. I ended up with what is really just some subtle face framing and not at all something I or anyone I've spoken to would consider a fringe. When going to pay the lady who cut my hair asked another worker, " do I charge this and this?", asking in regards to charging for the fringe cut. The other worker said " if you want", which makes it clear to me it was completely up to them to decide how much to charge. In the end they charged me for a restyle and fringe when I really only received a restyle. Initially this annoyed me a bit but I just accepted it, but as the week has gone on it's just so apparent to me that I paid for a fringe I didn't even receive and I don't really have the money to pay for nothing. The reason I asked for the service I did and declined the wash is because of my tight budget, so to be charged extra just because they felt like it has really upset me. I'd also like to mentioned I've received basically the exact same haircut here in the past and was just charged the restyle so this was not a nice suprise. Edit: I hadn't got a chance to edit this until now but I've been meaning to for about a week. As I stated before the service and cut itself was lovely and I was happy with the result. My only issue was being overcharged and it mostly stressed me out due to my current financial situation being quite tight. However after my review I was swiftly contacted privately by Kirsty who apologised and agreed I was overcharged. She went out of her way to set up a time for me to come in and be refunded and was so kind the whole time. She explained the several factors that probably caused the mistake, which I always knew wasn't intentional or anything of the kind. Everyone I spoke to on the phone and in person were incredibly lovely and helpful. I'd also just like to highlight the fact that the woman who cut my hair not only did a great job, but was incredibly hospitable and joyful. I understand that the error was just a misunderstanding and have nothing but positive feelings towards the whole team at jts. I really appreciated Kirsty not only reaching out to me and rectifying the situation, but doing so in private. This showed me they really do care about the customer experience as opposed to just their press. I've been going here for all my haircuts for a few years now and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. It's affordable, high quality, and the staff are wonderful."
