"Its better to stay at home and take panadol rather than going to ipswitch ermergency department. Because after long hours wating they will give you panadols even for a life threatening issue. Doctors don’t bother how many patients are waiting for them. They just waiting for their shift to finish. Two doctors on the same shift told me two different conclusion for the same issue. Later on I came to know after proper diagonsis from my GP that both doctors were incorrect. Nurse asked for urine sample but doctor told me that nobody tested my urine sample. Even if its too much work load for doctors, why can’t they get extra doctor for people suffering in waiting room. Also, Once the patient is with doctors atleast give them quality care. Do not appoint inexperiened doctors to misguide patients."
"Sitting in the emergency room with a 2 day old newborn for over 7 hours My partner Was told to come in by the midwife to get a blood patch after the epidural, she has been sitting in pain for over 7 hours now with little communication of what is going on"
"Incredibly lucky today to get to see a doctor almost immediately. Had minor surgery and a tetanus shot. Everyone was very kind, caring, knowledgeable and skilled."
"My sister has been sitting in the emergency waiting room for close to 10hours now with nothing more than Panadol for what is very likely a broken ankle. She has been in a sitting position with no way to elevate her incredibly swollen and painful ankle. Worse still she watched a patient with chest pains be taken in to the waiting room after having been dropped off by ambulance, his arm went numb while he was waiting, then after 7 hours he just left. Not one medical professional can be seen rushing around, there is no typical bedlam to be seen, but when she was taken out for her X-ray, she did notice a significant number of nurses and doctors busy playing on their phones and mucking around. There are definitely bigger issues at play here and this emergency department is not equipped to deal with emergencies. It should be closed down and let patients be taken to hospitals that have the resources to do the job they are designed to do. Nothing that has happened at this emergency department tonight is anything close to acceptable or understandable."
"I found each staff member very caring and professional. Even though the waiting room was full on a Friday night, they juggled their workload well with great calm, even when having to work with some very difficult patients. The warmed up blanket I was given was a kind gesture. Staff went above & beyond my expectations. I am very grateful for their assistance. Thank you"
