"Nice spot for afternoon sunset stroll. Very busy though and parking can be difficult. Nice if you like a bit of mangrove fun with crabs and pippies"
"Great, fun walk to get there and it is a beautiful island with lots of trees and an informational podium. Amazing sunset"
"One of my favourite walks in Brissy, seems to change each time I go, also scenery and wildlife changes depending if you go on rising or lowering tide. The island is only accessible at low tide but the route is available for several hours. Seen osprey hunting fish and rays as the tide is retreating and seen swarms of crabs as well. Plenty of birds to spot and aquatics if you don’t mind getting your feet wet. Few mangroves I haven't explored yet and it is on the fishing list. Plenty of arm chair fisherman on the walk up and a few waders at the tip. Barefoot can be a bit sharp on the feet with rocks and broken shells."
"It's always a lovely walk out to King Island from Wellington Point along the sand bar at low tide. Did this with my parents as a child in the 1950's and at various times through the years. Easy walk with views of Moreton Bay and the coastline from Wellington Point through to Wynnum."
