"I have been going to spoon close to 2 years now, and it's good as i take my dogs there and have a quick breakfast. The staff at Spoon are very friendly and service is good. I highly recommend going there, and they make great coffee ."
"Great park, nice view, small playground with restroom. It's good to walk around after visiting a cafe and restaurant nearby"
"Lovely little park, quiet, well kept and beautiful view. Some nice little cafes ti choose from and an off leash, fenced dog area as well."
"If you want somewhere to view the jail-like metropolis of depressing overpriced apartments of Newstead, this is a prime viewing location. Redeeming feature is the little puppers doing their tap tap happy happy dance. However, there’s also the stank scent of what was their breakfast, and the sounds, oh the sweet sounds. Construction in five different directions, while they whack up more depressing cell apartments. Just over yonder, around 400m away are giant high voltage power lines. I’m left wondering who can make the decision to live here, how do they make the money? Do they read? I don’t know man, but this place has a modern ghetto vibe. In terms of useful facilities, there are BBQs. They’re dirty of course, since like everywhere else in Brisbane, the council ripped off the tap tops. There are also bins & toilets and a few undercover tables, but overall, the area is scorching hot with young trees, little to no shade, and surrounded by hot cement areas in buildings where developers have done nothing to contribute to the green spaces to reduce the heat. As for the toilets, well they have an outdoor lever and soap. Great, except that you need to repeatedly touch the lever to even get enough water to get the soap off your hands. Kind of defeats the purpose of washing them at all. The toilets are feral unisex ones, with only one toilet having an overflowing sanitary bin. Pee all over the floor. Unisex toilets are fundamentally gross, but when they’re covered in pee it adds insult to injury. Attached to the back of the door are stupidly small hooks that wouldn’t be useful for anything more than a small designer handbag, because everyone brings those to the park?"
"Play area for the kids is well maintained, nice to stroll along the river for a walk at sunrise/sunset. Bit of funky modern architecture around the building. Water in the surround was a bit funky, but the weather has been quite hot so understandable."
