Reviews of Archer camping area, D'Aguilar National Park
"A lovely spot. Big camping area. Site 9 has the best for sun in winter and for solar panels. I stayed in my car in the car park of site 3. It doesn't get much sun but the shade would be great in summer. Bandicoots, pademelons and birds around. The rats or maybe even the bandicoots like soap - lol. They took mine from the table. And they seem to like scented candles too. Home among the trees !"
"We booked the camping spot only to find a family of five screaming, ill behaved brats next to us. They threw rocks at each other until one got hit and was bleeding from the head (mother did nothing). Loud thumping music most of the night, along with screaming. Next morning, the mother went off into the national park to bring back fire wood for their constant smokey fire. I was surprised by this as I assumed you weren't allowed to chop down trees in the national park. I guess that is why they brought the axe. If any park ranger wanted to weigh in, it was the 6th and 7th of July and the people were in camp site number 9."
"This camp ground is awesome. Toilets are clean, so are the grounds. An abundance of wildlife and love going swimming in the creek."
"Amazing camp area! Although there were others camping, the camp area was peaceful with well-spaced sites, some with tree coverage. The last stretch of road was a bit hairy, but say many 2wd small vehicles come up and down no worries. Bathrooms were surprisingly clean, well-stocked and with flushing toilets! This camp accesses many 4wd and dirt bike tracks leading to day-camp areas, creeks and lookouts throughout D'Aguilar National Park. Was hoping to catch a glimpse of a Platypus (because apparently they live in the creek at the camp area), but with no luck. A beautiful spot, will definately be visiting again."
"Great campground. Quiet and tucked away running along a beautiful creek. No showers but toilet block very well maintained. We will be back!"
