Clem Jones Centre Swim School
About the Business
Welcome to the Clem Jones Centre Swim School, located in Carina, Australia. Founded in 2007, our swim school is dedicated to providing high-quality and affordable Learn to Swim lessons for our local community.
At our facility, we prioritize the comfort and safety of our students. Our pool is heated to a pleasant 31.5°C, ensuring a comfortable environment for swimming lessons. Additionally, the air temperature is also heated, creating a cozy atmosphere for our students to learn and grow.
Our team of professional, enthusiastic, and highly qualified instructors are committed to delivering exceptional lessons that focus on key skills and techniques. We offer lessons for babies as young as 6 months old, all the way up to the squad level. Our program provides a direct progression pathway to CJ's Swim Club, allowing students to continue their swimming journey with us.
To support the development of our students, we offer a range of benefits. Firstly, our swim school boasts a large team of instructors, enabling us to provide unmatched flexibility. For notified absences, students are allocated two makeup lessons per term, ensuring they never miss out on valuable instruction. We understand that life can sometimes get in the way, and we are here to accommodate.
In the final week of each term, we host a Water Safety Week. This special program is available to all students, from infants to the squad level. During this week, students participate in a tailored program where they wear long clothes, similar to winter pyjamas, to reinforce safe water practices. It's a fun and educational week that promotes water safety awareness.
In addition to our paid swimming lessons, we are proud to offer a free program called Toddler Time. This program provides free access to our heated Learn to Swim pool for children under 5 and their parents. Available from 12:00pm to 3:00pm on weekdays, Toddler Time is a fantastic opportunity for young children to develop water confidence and enjoy a fun-filled swimming experience.
Our swim school operates 7 days a week during each Queensland State School Term, ensuring flexibility and convenience for our students and their families. We understand that schedules can be busy, so we aim to provide lesson times that suit a variety of needs.

"I couldn't be happier with our experience at The Clem Jones Centre Swim School. My daughter had struggled to find the right swimming school, but at the age of three, we, as parents, knew the importance of learning to swim. The small class sizes and the patience, experience, and dedication of our instructor have made all the difference. My daughter has only had two lessons so far, but her progress has been remarkable. I highly recommend this swim school to anyone seeking a nurturing and effective learning environment for their little ones!"
"Great swim school and amazing instructors. My son enjoyed his time learning swimming here. Unfortunately he kept getting sick and was missing out on lessons. The only disappointment is, the swim school’s policy which only allows 2 makeup lessons per term."
"Kids are all much happier here over Aquatic achievers Gumdale. Over the moon with the instructors and how patient they are with the younger ones. Swimming is no longer a chore and the kids are keen to get there every week."
"Haven't even started to attend swimming classes, gave them a week's notice that my child was sick and asked to move the start date back a week and they still charged me for it. This was towards the end of a term, during a not so busy season during spring. I wasn't interested in making up classes, as the term was about to end anyway. Also, first ever lesson, the coach knew my child didn't swim at all, still asked her to jump into the deep end, didn't catch her, she ended up swallowing a lot of water, got so terrified by the experience that she still talks about it! Never going back."
"Really nice pool area and well maintained! The young guy at the front desk was super friendly and happy... the older lady at the canteen... not so much. It would have been 5 stars but she was a real grump. Great facilities though:)"
