The Hastings

"Do not book this place!! Especially beach house #23. (The one next to the pool) The couches are pretty much entirely metal, no cushion. The shower heads falling on top of your head constantly, the spare bedroom Beds roll around even with the slightest of movement. The fridge and appliances are so dated, the blinds are broken, the wifi cuts in and out every 10 minutes & the dinning room table has food scraps and dirty hairs in the slats. Absolutely disgraceful. Very rude staff as well, we were snapped at by the English lady for no reason at all- just for arriving a few minutes before she was back to her desk. We paid to stay here for an entire week- what a waste of a few thousand dollars."

"Well if you enjoy night club after party noise between midnight and 4am this is the accomodation for you! You will be treated to an array of interesting profanities yelled at the top of voices with a side of laughing. If you are lucky enough that the gate has not been shut clowns will wonder through attempting to jump the back gate for hours following their drunken antics on Hastings street. The stairs in the units are not for the faint hearted and are an attraction on their own. The units could do with an upgrade, but the kitchen and all important aircon works well! Mostly clean however the bedding was dusty. Reception staff were lovely."

"Great location, one street back from Hastings St but you only have to walk thru the alley to be on Hastings St. Pool was good. Room was clean and tidy, but not much more than a 3*"

"Booked to stay at this accomodation as the location was very good. The pictures online looked great but this is not what our apartment looked like! We booked a standard beach house but we had an outdated kitchen and living area with furniture which was chipped and falling apart. No extraction fans in either the kitchen or bathroom so everything was foggy. Mouldy smell in the downstairs laundry was not nice. They sent an email to notify us about construction that would be occurring outside our front door during our stay only 3 weeks before we arrived. There was no chance of free cancellation due to their terms and conditions that did not allow changes inside 30 days of the booking."
