Community Child Health Centres
About the Business
Welcome to the Community Child Health Centres in Indooroopilly, Brisbane City, Queensland, Australia. As an establishment dedicated to health and well-being, we are a point of interest for families with young children in the Greater Brisbane area.
At our center, we offer a range of community health and support services specifically designed to give every child the best possible start in life. Our services, provided by a multidisciplinary team of child health nurses, early intervention clinicians, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advanced Health Workers, are available both in-person and via telehealth.
We understand that parenting can be challenging, especially for those with children under the age of five. That's why we encourage you to download our Circle of Security Parenting flyer, which provides valuable information and resources to help you navigate the early years of your child's life. Additionally, we offer support through our Postnatal Wellbeing Support Group, where you can connect with other parents facing similar experiences.
If you have concerns about your child's development, our Early Intervention Clinicians, who are either social workers or psychologists, are here to assist you. We also provide informative parent information sheets, such as Ages and Stages, which offer great, fun activities you can do at home to support your child's development from birth to age three. For older children, we have Child Development Parent Information sheets that provide guidance for ages one to eight.
Ensuring your child's immunizations are up to date is crucial for their protection. We strongly encourage you to check if your child's immunizations are on schedule and download our Personal Health Record (PHR) booklet. This free booklet provided to all parents in Queensland helps you keep track of your child's vaccinations, developmental checks, and other essential health events.
To find a clinic near you and to access more information about the Child Health Service, including eligibility criteria, catchment area restrictions, and referral advice, please visit our Child Health Service page. We are committed to providing accessible and free services to all families in need.
Finally, Children's Health Queensland acknowledges and pays respect to the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we operate. We honor and recognize the wisdom and contributions of Elders, both past and present, as we strive to create a nurturing and inclusive environment for all children and families.
Come and join us at the Community Child Health Centres, where we are dedicated to supporting you and your child's health and well-being from the very beginning.
