"Slife cannot be trusted. Do not book anything with this company. Our accommodation had been booked for months and fully paid for. As the Matildas announced they were the play in Brisbane at the weekend, Slife saw an opportunity for more money and cancelled our booking with two days to spare. We received no noticification from them, instead a cancellation status from the booking company. I contacted them and they denied the cancellation was due to the match, stating the accomodation was going to long term rental. The property came back on as a holiday rental the following week Do not risk your holiday being ruined, with so many accomodation options (usually), choose another, more reliable and honest company Sent from my Galaxy"
"My wife and I booked a stay in Brisbane via airbnb that was cancelled by Slife. No apology or explanation. We had to find alternative accommodation just before our trip, paying three times more. If you are booking in advance to save money, avoid them!"
"Shocking company. Horrific. I wish I didn't have to write this but I need to warn others. I recently heard a story from my friend about his experience with the property management company SLIFE. It was truly shocking to hear about how negligent and unprofessional they were in dealing with him. My friend had been living in an apartment that he rented from SLIFE for quite some time, well over a year. In the month of November of 2022, he gave them advance notice that he wanted to vacate, but they never responded to him - all while he was then expected to continue paying rent. Wild. When they finally did give a response, it was completely dismissive and simply ignored all of his requests. SLIFE was so unfair and did not operate with integrity. On top of that, they tried to extract additional fees from him which was incredibly unfair as he had given them ample time and notice to find a replacement tenant, all whilst being ignored for ages. The way SLIFE handled this whole situation is totally unacceptable and downright despicable. All the blame for their lack of response was shifted onto my friend even though it was entirely their fault in the first place! They evidently also tried to gaslight him into believing that it was somehow his fault that they hadn't responded in any timely manner or helped out in any way - this is exactly why people should be wary of using their services as tenants or landlords alike. SLIFE has no regard whatsoever for fairness or justice; all they care about is making money and taking advantage of their customers' trust, based on what I've seen first hand and after looking at the facts in question. This type of behaviour should not be tolerated at all, yet so many people have become victims over time due to these malicious tactics employed by SLIFE personnel like Elsa Liu. It's incredibly disheartening that this type of business exists and if I could give them a negative / 0 star rating then I definitely would! They do not even deserve to be operating a business. So please, if you're considering using SLIFE for anything - DON'T!!! Their actions are morally reprehensible and can only lead to heartache and frustration down the line when you end up being on the receiving end of unfair treatment like my friend did. Instead, look for businesses that display high ethical standards when dealing with customers/tenants/landlords - this will save you a lot of trouble in the long run!"
"Stayed on manning street south bank for two weeks. About the only good things about the apartment were the location and that the internet worked. For over $700 per week, this felt like a rip off. When we checked in, the leg was hanging off of the sofa. To be fair, they sent a handyman to fix it but he left wood chippings on the floor and didn’t arrive until the evening. Even after it was fixed sofa bed was really uncomfortable (probably because it was uneven). We also weren’t given a bin which seems a bit odd. I requested one but it never turned up so we had to keep a bag on the counter. It got to the point where I felt there were too many things to complain about. Everything in the apartment felt cheap and most of it was broken. There was missing crockery, the measuring cups were all cracked and broken And even the broom had been snapped in half and not replaced. Do not stay here."
"If I could give zero stars I would. Please do not book with these people, especially at their South Brisbane residence on Hope St. My friend Tatenda booked this place for us last week where we stayed from the 28th of July to the 31st of July. T stayed in the nicer bedroom with access to the balcony and I stayed in the ensuite room. After the first 2 nights I noticed little red bumps on my right hand and didn't think much of it. I assumed because we were in QLD it may have been mosquitos or something but later on that night I saw 2 red bugs. I googled what they might be and saw the most common answer being clover mites but I had found bed bug spray in the cupboard earlier. Still under the impression of clover mites I didnt think to say anything to the host as because google said they were harmless and rarely bit humans. After we checked out on the Friday, my right arm was covered in about 15 or so bites in either a row of 3 or a zig zag formation. I tried not to think about it because I still thought they were clover mites but by Monday my whole body was covered in bites. I posted online asking for advice on how 2 clover mites could cause this much irritation on my skin and was told they were bed bugs and to quickly get rid of my things or take them to the dry cleaners. We always check reviews before we book and hadn't seen anything too worrying about this place but when we checked again we saw there was a new review mentioning all the issues we had with this place. We arrived at 3pm to check in and the host hadn't given us the code. We called a number of times from 2 mobile phones and he eventually got back to us about an hour or so later. The previous guest (airbnb holds reviews for 14 days before publishing) had spoken about being bitten by bed bugs. I messaged the host to let him know he shouldn't have listed the place knowing just 2 weeks earlier he had to have the place treated for bed bugs. It was beyond selfish. He responded to say that because they had steamed the carpet and changed the linen and applied a bit of bug spray I couldn't have gotten the bugs from there but sir, that will not help. I tried to tell him so many times that the whole bed and mattress would need to be replaced. He said bed bug bites show instantly and implied I was a liar because I didnt say anything immediately. Bug bites can take up to 7-14 days to show. Mine showed on the 3rd day. There was bed bug spray in the cupboard. The previous guest complained about them too so 1+1=2. After I posted online to ask for advice another guest who had checked in the afternoon we checked out contacted me to tell me she had booked the exact same place, stayed in the exact same room and her friend who stayed with her also had bed bug bites and she sent me the photos as proof. The other guest messaged the host and the host began lying. He had told us the place was sprayed 3 weeks before we stayed, he told her 2. He told her that the guest reported immediately about the bed bugs and he also tried to give her medical advice saying bed bug bites are instant on skin which is obviously not true. Mine were gradual and by the 4th day my whole body was covered in them. I look like a leper. The stance that Airbnb and the host have is that because I didnt report immediately that they can only give me half my refund. The initial guest was only offered $60 so essentially my mate and I paid $422 for me to be bitten by bed bugs and ridiculed. I do not leave the house anymore because people keep looking at my face and arms which look disgusting. The response from S Life has been nothing short of disappointing but what can I expect when the host made himself unavailable when we had to check in. We requested a full refund because this place should have not been listed at all knowing they had a bed bug problem."
