Michael Hill

"Was refused service at this store for a ring clean on my $10,000 engagement ring purchased from Michael Hill. 3 staff members at this store looked at my ring and told me to ask my partner if it was actually purchased at Michael Hill as this isn’t a ring design they sell and there was no stamping. My fiancé was in the shopping centre so I phoned him to attend store. He attended the store and they wanted to see paperwork/receipt. Upon phoning the Michael Hill store purchased through, we were advised that they could’ve looked up the purchase on their system to verify. We went into the store in which my fiancé purchased from today and was shown clearly the stamping which states “Sir Michael Hill” along with the serial number of the ring. In all the years of my purchases with Michael Hill this would have to be by far the worst store I’ve attended."

"Unfortunately when I went in to look at an engagement ring with my partner, I was first shown a $6k ring (without asking my budget first). Once I made it clear that a $6k ring was out of my price range, and that there really wasn't anything there at my price point, even though I'd seen many things online that would have suited. Due to having larger hands I was made to feel like they were huge and would cost me the world to have a ring my size. After being shown a beautiful set and falling in love with it, I decided to go to another Michael Hill to see if I could talk to someone who didn't make me feel too poor or too big to be in the store. Thankfully I met the sweetest saleswoman at Loganholme Michael Hill who went above and beyond for me and my partner and I felt content and happy buying from her the very next day."
