"Lovely winery, beautiful setting, either inside near the fire or out on the vine-covered balcony and gardens. Love the share platters here."
"We must have got the winery on a bad day. Perhaps someone didn't turn up for their shift? We arrived at 1.03 for a 1pm sitting. Conservative estimate for placing the order for a wine tasting and charcuterie board would have been 1.10pm. We pretty much already knew what we wanted. When we arrived, it took 40 odd minutes for the first splash of sparkling to hit our glass. We ordered the Charcuterie board and Baked Cheese. Char board arrived at 1.53pm. Cheese arrived at 2.02pm. Because it is a music day, the doors are left open for those outside to hear. The problem? The local weather had Wonga Park at 12 degrees. So if you feel the cold don't come on a "music day". Finally, I have to address the front of house. Perhaps the stress of the day was getting to them, but we had people walking away from us while talking. There would be several times where all members FoH would be paying more attention to the one POS terminal than serving anyone. We saw so many people standing and waiting for someone to seat them for what felt well over 10 minutes (I cut it down from 20 because surely not?) I suggested we leave at 2.24pm as we had only had three splashes of wine at that point, the food was finished and the place had actually become busy, and we knew it was only to get worse from there. My wife told me that it was $15 per person for the tasting and we should complete the tasting to get our value for money. I relented. But I started getting more dismayed because the pouring sizes could have been more considered dregs left in the glass from the night before than pours. Finding out it was $15 per person, only redeemable if you buy two bottles (average price around $40 ea) was just, really grating. We would be asked what wine we would like to try next, we would give a varietal and then they would just... walk away. Then we were poured the wrong varietal when they would come back (but at the very least it was an actual pour). Photo of the final pour attached, because the rest were at least half of that. That fifth and final pour was at 2.45pm. So, we didn't have a good time. We didn't feel like we had good value for money. We didn't feel like the higher costs was outweighed by anything beneficial. We actually looked forward to leaving and salvaging the afternoon by going to another winery. We paid a price well above the norm for the privilege to experience one of the worst winery experiences we have had. But the cheese, char board and wine was nice when it arrived."
"Beautiful winery with delicious wine and absolutely amazing customer service. You can see every customer is important to them and they don’t rush through. The shared platters are also great with the wine."
"A beautiful, well kept/clean/maintained, and kid friendly venue (photo opportunities were amazing!). I was struggling (like most Dad’s out there) to find a reservation last minute for Mother’s Day, and Jenny was able to go above and beyond (including an early and quick response time) to accommodate a table for us, which was a saving grace. It was a beautiful day and Mum had a wonderful time. Thank you so much, Jenny and the Kellybrook team! :)"
