"It was our first time visiting the Sunnybank branch of Swades. We were very happy with our experience. There are a lot of varieties of grocery available, from both South and North India, unlike some shops with no South Indian options. The veggies looked fresh and was priced reasonably. The things in the frozen section didn’t have price tags. It would be really helpful if they could add them. We were there just around the closing time, but the staff were very patient with us. We wanted to change a couple of things from the things that were already billed (oops!). But the guy at the counter, without any hesitation or bad face, did it for us. They were very kind to let us take the basket to our car since we didn’t have a shopper. Would defer go back there again."
"Poor Customer Service. I had a very disappointing experience with customer service not just once, but five times. I entered the shop around 9 pm on Wednesday night 19th April and instead of greeting me, one male customer service representative looked at my shoes and foot marks. This is not India, so people are coming with dirty shoes. When I asked him about Badam, he rudely replied with only half of the information and did not look me in the eyes. When I went to the counter, he looked at my shoes again and then told me to go to the next counter to process my purchase. He then asked his female colleague to process my purchase, but when she said she was busy, he processed it himself. When I informed him about his behavior, he started giving me rude replies instead of accepting his mistakes. After he finished scanning, he didn't even ask me to pay. I had to search for the payment machine and pay the amount myself. There was no "thank you" or greeting afterwards. Many Indian stores have a problem with employing overseas students with little experience in customer service. As management, it is important to train these employees, or you will pay a high price in the future in many ways."
"One stop place for all things Indian and south asian groceries. Good collection."
"Good place for veggies and Indian groceries. Fresh veggies that you get rarely are available here such as cluster beans and gundas."
