With a background in nursing and extensive experience in managing acute neurosurgical units, I am well-equipped to handle crisis situations and understand the profound impact of brain trauma, disability, and chronic illness on both patients and their families. Additionally, as a mother of three adults, I am familiar with the challenges of raising a family and the importance of effective communication.
Taking a person-centred and holistic approach, I work closely with my clients to help them recognize self-defeating patterns, overcome limitations, and gain a deeper understanding of themselves. Mindfulness is at the heart of my practice, as I believe in bringing clients' awareness into the present moment to promote healing and growth.
I am excited to welcome adults into my practice for individual counselling. I place great value on the connection between counsellor and client, and I am available for face-to-face sessions at my Eltham counselling centre. Additionally, I offer remote counselling sessions during the week and weekends to accommodate busy schedules.
My approach is contemplative, fluid, and focused on understanding intergenerational patterns and their impact on whole families. Through psychology, I strive to foster self-reflection, true self-compassion, and hope in my clients' lives. I am easy to relate to, strong but gentle, and able to provide support during times of high distress.
