Dr Conway completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with First Class Honours at the prestigious University of Queensland in 2013. He furthered his specialization in radiation oncology through training at renowned institutions such as the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, Alfred Health, and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. During his training, he developed a keen interest in utilizing advanced radiation therapy technologies to deliver highly precise treatments. In 2018, Dr Conway expanded his knowledge by visiting the National Cancer Centre Hospital East and Tsukuba Proton Beam Therapy Centre in Japan to explore the potential of proton beam therapy. In recognition of his expertise, Dr Conway became a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2021.

Dr Conway is actively involved in research and clinical trials, with a particular focus on stereotactic radiation therapy for oligometastatic disease. He is an esteemed member of the Trans Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG) and the Australia and New Zealand UpToDate User Group, allowing him to stay updated with the latest evidence-based practices. Dr Conway actively participates in multiple open clinical trials across different cancer types. His dedication to research has earned him numerous academic and research awards. He has also held appointments as an associate lecturer and examiner at the University of Queensland Faculty of Medicine.
