She is also the leader of the Epworth Hospital multidisciplinary breast cancer team, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care throughout their treatment journey.

Joining Dr Thornton is Dr Anannya Chakrabarti, a specialist oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgeon. With extensive training and experience, Dr Chakrabarti is dedicated to providing the highest quality care to her patients. She has a strong background in scientific research, with a Doctorate in Philosophy focused on understanding the mechanisms of tumor metastasis and evasion.

Completing our team is Dr Anh Nguyen, the General Practitioner for our Breast Cancer Survivorship Program. This program provides vital support to patients after they have completed their active breast cancer treatment. Dr Nguyen, along with our breast care nurses, offers consultations and champions the program to ensure our patients receive the ongoing care and support they need.
