All of our oncologists have clinical appointments at the Oncology Unit of St Vincent's Public Hospital, ensuring that they are constantly updated with the latest advancements in the field. They are also members of prestigious professional societies such as the Medical Oncology Group Australia and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Our oncologists are actively involved in research, teaching, and quality assurance activities, further demonstrating their commitment to excellence.

Dr. Dowling, who trained in Melbourne and at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Canada, specializes in brain, genito-urinary, and breast cancers. He is actively involved in teaching and clinical research, and his non-clinical interests include sports, travel, photography, and family.

Associate Professor McLachlan, also trained in Melbourne and at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, has a particular interest in lung, gastrointestinal cancers, and cancer genetics. She is an associate professor of medicine at the University of Melbourne and the Director of Oncology and Cancer Services at St Vincent's Public Hospital Melbourne. Her non-clinical interests include travel, reading, and family activities.

Dr. Newnham, who completed her oncology training in Melbourne, focuses on gastrointestinal and lung cancers, as well as the patient experience. She is actively involved in medical teaching and research, and she holds the role of Supervisor of Prevocational Training at St Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family.

Dr. Moore, who completed her oncology training in Sydney, specializes in lung, breast, upper gastrointestinal, and genitourinary cancers. Her research interest lies in body composition in cancer patients and its effect on outcomes and treatment delivery. Outside of work, she enjoys food, cycling, and supporting the Sydney Swans.

Dr. Hart, who completed his specialty training in Oncology in Melbourne, has a particular interest in breast, head and neck, CNS, and lung cancers. He has also spent time working at the Prato Hospital Cancer Centre in Italy as a Translational Research Fellow in Breast Cancer. Dr. Hart is actively involved in medical education and trainee support.

We are conveniently located at Suite 1, Level 2, Healy Wing, 41 Victoria Parade in Fitzroy, with additional consultations available at Suite 300 Princess Highway in Werribee. Each specialist oncologist consults one day per week, and we strive to see new referrals within one week, or within one to two days if urgent. A valid referral letter is required prior to being seen.
