"I removed myself from the ‘care’ of Dr. Deirdre Percy during the 28th week of my pregnancy, and I am so glad for not continuing on with her despite having paid my fees. What a terrible experience that was! The receptionists, one of the midwives and Dr. Percy are stone cold and definitely do not provide the type of warm and trusting experience one would like to have during pregnancy. Further, I had to phone for my blood test results several times and then was told that my results were ok, only to then receive a letter in the mail urging me to take supplements. I had pain which Dr. Percy brushed off as ‘normal’, and only when I insisted that I wanted further testing did we find that I had GBS and large quantities of another type of bacteria. Dr. Percy ignored my ‘hello’ and ‘goodbye’ in my last appointment with her and didn’t even bother to show basic common courtesy; which is a reflection of her and the type of practice she runs. I also found out that the male receptionist who took my initial phone call when I was undecided between Dr. Percy and Dr. Aviva Nathan, the one who swayed me towards Dr. Percy by saying that she is “much more advanced” is actually married to Dr. Percy. If you are looking for a positive, calm and caring obstetrician, I highly suggest that you stay away from Dr. Deirdre Percy and Orrong Obstetrics."

"You would need to try hard to find another Doc with so much experience and care than Dr Percy. Absolute pleasure to be in her confident hands when at business end of a long labor. She is very generous with her time before, during and importantly after delivery. Her staff are always on hand a ready to help. It’s alway a pleasure to be welcomed by a friendly and knowledgeable midwifes and office team to make your experience even better than others."

"Aviva was by OB for my second baby - I was a very nervous Mum to be being 42 and having a few complex issues. With this in mind I felt I needed a lot of reassurance and checks. Aviva and her team are very sensitive and responsive. What strikes you about Aviva is that she’s very respectful of you as a individual and your preferences for your care. I was able to see them as often as I felt I needed (and it was a lot in the early part of my pregnancy and all bulk billed).It truly is a team effort - Sandra and Michelle are midwives and they’re masterful at putting you at ease. The front desk (Justine/Simone) ultra efficient and prompt and know your name each time you walk in. I felt going to their practice a calming experience. Aviva is a quiet achiever so come prepared with questions, she’s happy to answer. Where Aviva shines is in surgery - I had a planned c-section and it was a very positive experience, so calm, but enthusiastic and respectful. My scar is tiny and even the midwives commented on the precision and “neatness” of her stitches. Highly recommend Aviva and her team!"
