At M3 Health, we believe that everyone deserves access to a top-notch medical center, an outstanding team, and most importantly, an exceptional General Practitioner. As the first and third points of call in healthcare, GPs play a crucial role in ensuring the wellbeing of individuals. In fact, GPs see over 85% of the Australian population each year, making them an integral part of our healthcare system. We work closely with our patients, often after they have seen a non-GP Specialist or have been discharged from the hospital, to ensure comprehensive and continuous care.
Our clinics in Bayswater and Hobson’s Bay offer a wide range of GP services to meet your healthcare needs. From immunizations and travel vaccines to shared pregnancy care and iron infusions, our experienced GPs are equipped to provide personalized and quality care. "This is not a criticism of the doctors themselves, they are professional and I have had no issues with them personally. I was contemplating not leaving this feedback because I really do recognise that these issues are Australia wide. However, I have a few things that I would like to share. The availability of GPs has become quite poor. Occasionally you can call on the day and they are able to squeeze you in - but as I look at the online bookings (right now), I would have to wait 7 days to see a GP, who wouldn't be my first preference. Beyond this, and more significant to me - I understand that GPs all around are raising fees, and I get that this is due to medicare payments not increasing at an appropriate level. However, what I have had to pay for what I feel was essentially 15-20 minutes over two days was beyond what is sustainable for me, let alone somebody less fortunate than myself. Out of pocket - I paid $117.75 for an assessment and for some blood tests, and then today paid $49.25 for a 5 minute phone call where my results were read out and I was told to continue doing what I was doing. I knew about these fees ahead of time, so I don't have animosity about paying for it, but it just isn't sustainable for me. This may not look like much to many people around the area, but it really adds up, considering that some of these referals are to services which in themself are expensive. M3 are upfront about their fees, however, it feels like it has reached a point for me where I need to go elsewhere. Especially if I am paying what I believe is a fair bit, I'd like to be able to see the doctor of my preference in a reasonable amount of time."
"Had an upsetting experience due to a faulty door meaning I was unable to get inside to my appointment. I was unable to call for guidance as the phone lines don’t open when the clinic opens. When I finally got inside the receptionist blamed me for using the wrong door despite this being the address listed on their booking confirmation. She also claimed the door was not locked, which was discounted by other patients who experienced the same issue and who stood up for me! When I raised this with management I was told it was my fault and I flustered the receptionist which is why she was aggressive towards me. I was also admonished and told my poor experience was my own fault. I’m stunned anyone would choose to go here when there are so many better GPs in the local area. Management clearly doesn’t care about creating a welcoming environment."
"Family member had an appointment booked in for Telehealth - this was previously cancelled twice on the same day, she then had to wait for over an hour for a call from the GP. Call was originally made and answered on time by the GP but immediately dropped out due to connectivity issues with no attempt to callback. Reception advised that this was then marked as 'Did not attend'. Call made to reception twice who came off as condescending and not empathetic to the situation."
"Can't recommend highly enough. The practice is taking new patients (many around here aren't) and I was able to book online via HotDoc. There were many appointments available online and the whole process was easy and smooth. I saw Dr Leon for a skin check and he was fantastic. So friendly, reassuring and thorough. The whole experience was really good, will definitely be using M3 for future medical needs!"
"Very relieved to be able to get my daughter to see a doctor at short notice. We have just moved from interstate and we are finding that many medical centres are not taking any new patients. We are grateful to this centre to allow us into their client list. The online booking system was also very useful. The centre is located very conveniently close to the Spotswood train station so is ideal for students travelling from the city and trying to get to appointments after school. The doctor who saw us today was excellent and we were ushered into his office ahead of schedule."
