"Very disappointing, engaged them 4 or 5 years ago after my other brokers prices seemed to be rising alot, initially they offered a pretty good deal for my Public liability and some plant machinery insurance. But the policy price rose over %25 a year for the next 4 or so years till the point it was over double the original. I Quizzed them on the price rises and they just said, its industry wide, Covid costs etc.. i swallowed that line believing it to be true, its true inflation has been high. But inflation is not running at over 25% and by this year 2023 i was paying way over double the intial policy price, so i decided to see if they could fix this and asked them to look into it. All they could offer is if i paid a higher excess i would pay a slightly lower premium. They never engaged in a process of seeking other underwriters for competitive pricing, which is what i thought brokers did and what the brokerage fee was for. So i got some more quotes elsewhere and got the same insurance for less than the intial starting policy price offered by Shileded over 4 years ago!! it was over half price!! all i did was made a phone call.. couldnt believe it, yet i believed there story about price rise for 4 years! And i never made a claim. I would avoid these guys like the plague. You might get a good first year deal, but i would keep a close eye on their pricing, they will pump it up year after year once they have you on their books, this seems to be there method of buissness. AVOID!"

"Do not use this company! They advised us to purchase a policy with CGU. The worst mistake ever! Have an 8k claim for my tenant on a brand new build. They completely destroyed the place. Needs all new carpets, blinds and many, many coats of sealer and paint on every surface from the tenant chain smoking inside and dropping their cigarettes on all the carpets. They will not cover a cent of the damage. Stay far away from Shielded and the scam companies they sell that don't pay out on ANY claims. Really wish I read the reviews before purchasing"

"Terrible experience with Shielded Insurance. Bad customer service, does not help you compare the market and does not help you find solutions. Three weeks ago, I was quoted by a Shielded Insurance Broker to take on a policy with company A. The broker was away so his colleague Mitchell took over. After giving Mitchell the information he went to set up a policy with company B. I informed him that his colleague previously quoted me from company A and asked him to do a comparison as it was odd that he chose a different company. He did not care and came back with a quote from company B only. The quote was over $1k more than the original quote. I asked him to please do a quote with company A and was re-quoted where the amount was over $1k less. Both company policies covered for what I was requesting for. There were other nuances with this policy and they offered no help to work around the nuances, whereby other companies have provided various suggestions. I am more than happy to use and pay for broker service, however this is not one I would recommend to anyone."
