"So glad to have stumbled upon this cafe while in the area! The space is welcoming, bright and full of natural light. We loved that there were multiple batch coffees on offer. Service was warm and friendly. We were lucky enough to nab one of the last brisket toasties - you have to get one if it's available! So so delicious, crispy with a kick of heat."
"AMAZING COFFEE!! Huge selection of coffees to try. Definitely recommend visiting these guys for a great coffee experience! Good work Cavalier!"
"Amazing batch roasted coffee, outstanding barista and cool and calm vibes! There is lots of natural lightbulb the cafe which gives it a wonderful flair. Even a home roasted decaf cappuccino is a delight."
"I took the 6 o’clock flight from Melbourne to Brisbane to start my coffee tour as early as possible. The moment I arrived at the airport, I immediately grabbed my luggage and jumped into the next Uber to get as fast possible to Cavalier Coffee Roasters. They have just “soft-opened” their brand-new café last week. Some details were still in the making - for example the coffee menu board - but all the equipment was already perfectly working, and the friendly stuff gave me a very warm welcome. While taking me through the menu, the barista explained to me all their available coffees in details. I then ordered a pain aux raisins (I had to eat breakfast too) along with a traditional flat white and their Flywheel espresso blend, and a Flywheel batch brew. The flat white was very sweet and very creamy. The coffee cut well through the milk with a long, sweet finish. After my second sip, I saw Ellie waving to me from the outside. It seems that even in Brisbane I cannot visit a café without being recognized… how funny is that! Having coffee together is so much more fun than sitting alone at a table. Ellie also ordered a milk beverage. Interestingly, the barista textured the milk for her, but let her pour the desired amount into her espresso. That reminded me of Caleb’s Tigerous Espresso bar (which scared me a lot – as I am bad in latte art myself). Soon later, Serena, Henry and Billy also joined our table, and we later continued our coffee shop tour together. JB – the head roaster and air guitar champion – then also kindly showed me the roastery, which is just behind a window. I love when you can see where the coffee has been roasted – or let’s say: I love to see where the magic happens. Cavalier is a smaller-sized roastery where most working steps are done manually. The Loring roaster is perfectly shiny, like polished! When you smell the green coffee bags, when you see the metal buckets full of roasted beans, and you spot a manual packing line, you understand immediately, that here everything is done with love and passion. And this you can taste when you sip and enjoy the coffee at their espresso bar."
