Welcome to Busy Bees at Port Melbourne! Located on Ingles Street, our establishment is a point of interest and a school that offers a warm and nurturing learning environment for children aged birth to 5 years.
At Busy Bees, we believe in providing inspiring learning opportunities for children to grow and develop. Our purpose-built facilities are filled with educational play spaces and dedicated Educators who are passionate about encouraging children's growth.
Our philosophy at Busy Bees focuses on the discovery and exploration of respectful relationships with children. We prioritize uninterrupted playtime, freedom, a calm environment, cooperative relationships, and giving our full attention to each child.
We offer child-led learning programs that provide exciting opportunities and challenges for children to play and develop. We believe in nurturing individuality and allowing children to move at their own pace, in their own way.
Our funded Kindergarten program is led by a Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher who is committed to preparing your child for their next big steps in school. We work closely with parents to ensure a successful transition to school, combining school readiness with learning experiences that foster social and emotional development.

Our Service Manager, Carmel Zappia, has over 20 years of experience in childcare and is dedicated to creating a warm, safe, and nurturing environment for all children in our care.

Our modern and clean facilities span over three levels, with amazing outdoor areas for children to play and a rooftop garden. We believe in building a community and involving parents in their children's early learning education.
The food we cook smells amazing, and children are supported to learn through exploration. We provide daily updates with photos, giving parents a glimpse into their child's day.

"Great service, however they steal money from your account over $700, mind you my daughter hasn’t attended the child care in over four month, , and when asked about it they suddenly don’t answer phone calls or emails, I had to show up to the child care, and when I arrived the manager wasn’t apparently in a meeting, they lied and said they will get back to me within 24 hours still no response, I’ll be reporting this child care to fraud department. Also poor communication, as they do not even inform you that they will be charging you."
"My Son has been attending Busy Bees since he was 6 months old. He is graduating next week which is a little sad! I have seen a few changes in Management during the last 5 years, the latest change has been brilliant. The centre is running so efficiently, my Son's learning lead by Vivienne has excelled, the centre is clean, my Son is happy, the hours are brilliant, very safe and excellent communication. "Carmel and the team have been amazing! The Educators are engaged and supportive, many times going above and beyond for our child. It’s the little things that make such a huge difference from greeting them by name each morning to knowing exactly what they need if the morning drop off is a little overwhelming. Overall it’s been a very positive experience with our child at Busy Bees and we couldn’t be happier with the service."
"I love Port Melbourne Busy Bees. This place is fantastic for the children with a very hard working & welcoming team, who really care for the children. The spaces are modern and clean over 3 levels with amazing outdoor area's for the children to play & a rooftop garden! "Carmel and the team are fantastic. They foster a sense of community at the centre. Our son has been going here for the last 6 months and what I love is that every educator knows his name and says hello. The food cooked by Lillibeth smells amazing. The children are supported to learn through exploration. We receive a story with photos from the educator on how he is going each day. Very happy with the service"
