CJ's Pastries
About the Business
Welcome to CJ's Pastries, a beloved bakery and cafe located in Rothwell, Australia. Situated on Anzac Avenue, our establishment is a true point of interest for both locals and visitors alike. With a rich history dating back to Easter 1993, when we took over the Wamuran Bakery, CJ's Pastries has become an integral part of the community.
Originally starting in the picturesque town of Wamuran, our store there continues to thrive and contribute to our success. Less than two years later, we expanded our operations to Caboolture, where our head office and base of operations are currently located. It is here that the talented and trained pastry cook, Darrin Wells, began the journey of creating delectable pastries that have become our trademark.
At CJ's Pastries, we pride ourselves on delivering the finest quality baked goods and culinary delights. From our freshly baked bread and pastries to our mouthwatering cakes and desserts, every item is crafted with passion and expertise. Our commitment to using only the finest ingredients ensures that every bite is a delightful experience.
Step into our cozy cafe and be greeted by the enticing aroma of freshly brewed coffee and warm pastries. Our friendly staff is dedicated to providing exceptional service, making you feel right at home. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite on the go or settling in for a leisurely meal, our comfortable seating area offers a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy your food and the company of friends and family.
As a store that has become a local institution, we understand the importance of community. That's why we actively support local events and initiatives, fostering a sense of belonging and unity. We believe that good food has the power to bring people together, and we are honored to be a part of your special moments, from birthday celebrations to weekend brunches.
Visit our Head Office in Caboolture, located at 14 Matthew Tce, to experience the heart of CJ's Pastries. "As soon as we walked into the store we were welcomed and the ladies behind the counter were ready to serve us. They were polite and served with a smile and were very happy to answer any and all questions asked. The had to cook the chips that were ordered but that didn’t take too long and the chips were cooked very well. The meals we ordered were cooked excellently and tasted so good. My son devoured his sausage roll and he ain’t one to devour food often. The only thing I could nit pick on was maybe a little too much chicken salt on the chips. Otherwise a very delicious meal with great service very well done. Deserved this 5 star review."
"My son who is quite fussy tried a steak and pepper pie and loved it. Even went back in and told the young guy 10 out of 10"
"This place is pretty good. Slightly sloppy staff leaving cleaning chemicals and stuff laying around the tables. Quite overpriced but has the absolute most delicious bacon and egg wrap I've ever had (which are often sold out by 7am but they will make them apon request)."
"Will not return. Not only did they get our order wrong (chicken salt on chips instead of plain, and a butter chicken pie instead of the Green Thai chicken), the store and tables were filthy. To tip it all off, as we were eating a plumber came in and started unblocking something with a loud machine and it smelt like we were eating in the toilet. We threw our food in the bin and left. Maybe they could have warned us it was about to happen, or better still close the shop."
"Sausage roll had bright yellow crumb filling, no meat and inedible. My son, who can eat anything ordered a chunky steak & mushroom pie. The filling was mostly gravy, some mince and few pieces of possibly mushroom. After one bite we threw both out. A week later I asked them what the yellow filling was, told it may have been bacon & egg & I should have been asked if that is what I wanted, I wasn't."
