Acacia Children's Centre
About the Business
Welcome to Acacia Children's Centre, located at 159 Taylors Road, Saint Albans, Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, we are dedicated to providing a high-quality and culturally diverse childcare experience for families with preschool-age children in Melbourne.
At Acacia, we understand the importance of a child's early years and the impact it has on their future. That's why we are proud to offer Free Kinder, ensuring that more Victorian children can have the best start in life, regardless of where they live. By enrolling your child in our kindergarten program within our long day care setting, you can benefit from a $2,000 Free Kinder subsidy that offsets the kindergarten program component of your out-of-pocket fees.
Safety is our utmost priority at Acacia Children's Centre. We take the wellbeing of our children, staff, and community seriously. We kindly ask our families to follow the current guidelines set by the Department to ensure everyone's safety. If your child shows any early or developing flu-like symptoms, we request that they stay at home until fully recovered to protect the wellbeing of other children and our teams.
Our team of qualified, passionate, and experienced educators in early childhood are devoted to the core values of respect, diversity, social justice, and equity. We offer diverse early childhood programs that cater to preschool children across our three centres - Acacia Children's Centres in Richmond and St Albans, as well as Acacia Fitzroy Creche. We believe in creating a safe and empowering environment where children's voices are heard and their opinions matter.
At Acacia, we are committed to providing a child safe environment. We prioritize the safety and wellbeing of all children, staff, students, and families within our organization. We pay close attention to the cultural safety of Aboriginal children, children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, and children with disabilities.
Adhering to the child safe standards and the UN rights of the child, every person involved in Acacia understands their responsibility in ensuring the wellbeing and safety of all children. We believe in the 10 national principles that underpin our commitment to child safety.
We also acknowledge and pay our respects to the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, particularly the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, who are the traditional custodians of the lands on which our centres are located. We honor their unique cultural and spiritual relationships to the land, waters, and seas, and their invaluable contributions to society.
Acacia Children's Centre St Albans has exceeded the National Quality Standards, assuring you that your child will receive the highest quality care and education in our center.

"Not good experience. Gave false hope. Did not want to say availability but just ask to come to the place. The reason people ask availability first before coming is because people have a job and you don't know the sacrifice they make to be able to come there. After we came there, Stef promised Olivia will contact me very soon. It was a lie. No one contacted us until we contact them first and just being told that there is no availability and we just need to keep checking in to be able to get a spot. Don't keep 'collecting' waitlist when you know your capacity. Praise God we have got a far better childcare centre (more organized, much more cleaner) a week after with a certainty since before doing 'service tour'. Recommend this place for people who want to be put into 'unknown/infinite' waitlist."
"Fantastic not for profit centre that has great energy. Love the light filled rooms, small class sizes, lovely diverse and welcoming staff, chickens and their appreciation for recycling and sustainability. The class rooms as well as out door areas are impressive! I highly recommend Acacia."
"Great childcare centre! The director and educators are excellent in accommodating and supporting our son who has additional needs. They show real interest in getting to know him. Very inclusive and friendly environment! Highly recommended!"
"Awesome place for your children to play and learn. The educators provide a range of activities that enable kids to have fun and also develop a range of skills. They have also provided additional care for my son and have been truly supportive. Olivia and her team are fantastic and you won't find a better place!"
"My children have been attending this childcare since 18months old to primary school age. They love the staff members and also the children that attend the centre. Very friendly and supportive staff and they show they actually care for your child. It’s peace of mind knowing that my children have lots of fun and in good care while I am at work. A bonus is the extra educational resources they provide. The children love all the incursions and excursions. Highly recommended to other families in the community."
