"I love Shays Shoes, not only are they perfect for my orthoptic inserts as most of the shoes have removable inners but they are so comfortable and amazing designs especially Allegria brand. And they are so quick to reply to my enquiries."
"Such a lovely local store which is a family owned business! Very friendly owners who were very happy to help and have a great range of stock available! Will always get my shoes from here!"
"Zero stars If I could give this place zero stars I would. I was in there today with 2 quiet and well behaved children sharing a sausage roll ( no sauce) and they are school aged kids you know the type out and about living freely on school holidays with their parents. Anyway I’d already worn Birkenstocks before soo it was a quick trip quick size check and good to go. Initially all was well and the initial service lady built a rapport with my children stating she’d had the same sausage roll for lunch. It was from the deli next door or one or two doors up. Anyhow then this cranky looking aggressive woman appeared as my kids were sharing their sausage roll and declared how it was getting a bit crazy mess wise and at the same time shooed them out to the pavement with no consent from me to direct or move my children. ( the well behaved quiet chilled kids) the way that she behaved was like she was chasing wild or disease ridden stray dogs out of her store. With absolutely no ability to communicate or compromise. Was she looking to move her business out to the kerb, no I doubt it. PayPass on the pavement sure. I bet if I walked out with her Birks on she’d freak out. Anyhow I moved my kids back in to a place that I could supervise them how dare you move my children with no respect to them being human beings, disgusting behaviour. It was crumbs from a pastry for goodness sake. If I wasn’t already committed and any less into my intention to buy ( that’s right I was a paying customer you were still getting your sale) after all this upheaval I was having to finishing my purchase. You then hovered around me with a dustpan and broom as if I was in your way- like what the! Children to you are clearly seen, but let’s remove all existence of them being here. If you knew me at all or stopped to communicate in a more open way I’m a mother who always cleans up and would of wiped down your precious floor if I saw it fit. I would have to literally need to walk over hot coals to set foot in here again. In the Society we live in today we are judged if we outsource child care to others, to try and go about our day achieving what we need to do. We’re judged as psycho or mean to our kids if mums are too high strung out and about and stricter or crazy at our kids in environments such as yours that are quite frankly ridiculous. Like come on it’s shoes, sweaty feet, shoes and humans that you’re serving and dealing with here. I think I’d rather be a parent that’s kinder to my kids and myself and more patient and understanding. Very disappointing and disrespectful customer service. Don’t support local here, they don’t deserve it. Buy in bulk at the iconic."
"Extremely disappointed with this shop.. they sent me the wrong shoes.. they have photos up of a dark worn leather and they sent me a very bright light tan leather.. so I gave them a call and they were very rude not helpful whatsoever.. highly recommend anyone that reads this to go somewhere else.. thumbs down all day of the week for these peanuts"
